What are the best months for luxury yacht charter in Greece?
April–October is the standard charter season:

April–May & September–October: Our clients love these shoulder seasons—fewer crowds, warm sea temperatures, gentle winds. It’s often cited as the best time to charter.

June–August: High season with hot weather. Expect strong Meltemi winds in July and August (Beaufort 5–7 in the Aegean) — great for sailing enthusiasts, but may limit relaxed cruising in exposed areas like the Cyclades.

How far can you go on a one-week private yacht charter in Greece?
It depends on the yacht, the weather, and your fuel budget.
As a rule of thumb, we recommend 2–3 hours of cruising per day. That’s roughly:

15–25 nautical miles on a catamaran or sailing yacht
Weather — especially Meltemi winds — can affect your daily range, particularly in the Cyclades. Our brokers help tailor your itinerary based on yacht type, fuel range, and sea conditions.
Is VAT included in the yacht charter price?
Not always.
Some yachts include VAT, others don’t—especially if they operate across different countries. Ask your broker; we confirm the exact VAT and help clients navigate the most cost-effective options.
What is my chance of getting to Santorini?
It depends on your yacht type, starting point, and weather.
Santorini is around 150 nautical miles from Athens, which is too far for most catamarans or sailing yachts on a 7-day charter. The crossing can also be rough, especially during the Meltemi season.
For one-week charters:

What you need to know before chartering a yacht to Santorini
Can we get a yacht for more than 12 people?
Only on certain licensed vessels.
Most charter yachts in Greece are legally limited to 12 guests. If you are more than 12 guests who want to charter together, you have a couple of options:
- Chartering one of the few yachts that is licensed to carry 12+ guests
- Booking a tandem charter – two yachts chartering together
- Chartering a motor yacht with an additional chase boat
What is the advance provisioning allowance?
APA is a budget for running costs.
It covers food, fuel, port fees, and other onboard expenses. Usually 25–40% of the charter fee, it’s managed by the captain and adjusted based on actual use.
How early should I book my Greek yacht charter?
Ideally 9–12 months in advance.
