Ithaca Yacht Charter Guide
Ithaca is one of our favorite Ionian stops for clients who want a quieter, more traditional island between Lefkada, Kefalonia, and Zakynthos. We usually recommend it when the brief is relaxed, scenic, and more about bays and villages than nightlife.
Ithaca works especially well in Ionian charters because it sits naturally between stronger base islands. It gives the route a calmer middle: sheltered-feeling coves, small harbors, and a slower pace than the bigger names around it.
Best For
- Ionian yacht charters between Lefkada and Kefalonia
- Clients who want quiet coves and village evenings
- Families and relaxed groups who do not need nightlife every night
- Catamarans and motor yachts looking for comfortable Ionian routing
- Routes combining Ithaca with Kefalonia, Lefkada, Paxos, Corfu, or Zakynthos
Highlights
- Vathy: The main harbor and a practical, pretty place for an evening ashore.
- Kioni: One of our favorite Ionian village stops when the route and conditions fit.
- Frikes: A small harbor option that adds variety to a quieter route.
- Gidaki Beach: A beautiful swim-stop candidate, usually best by yacht or tender.
- Kefalonia pairing: We like Ithaca with Kefalonia because the distances are comfortable and the islands feel different enough to justify both.
Ithaca Anchorage
Ithaca has several useful bays and small harbor options, but the overnight plan should stay captain-led. We usually treat Ithaca as a flexible Ionian stop: swim and explore during the day, then choose the most comfortable village or sheltered position for the night.
