Paxos Yacht Charter Guide
Paxos is one of the best Ionian yacht charter stops for clients who want a smaller, quieter island with beautiful bays and a relaxed evening ashore. We usually like Paxos on Corfu-start routes because it gives the week a strong island contrast without needing a long or exposed passage. For the bigger picture, see our Ionian yacht charter guide.
For our clients, Paxos works best as part of a northern Ionian route with Corfu, Antipaxos, Parga, and sometimes Lefkada or Kefalonia. It is not a big sightseeing island; its value is charm, water, villages, and easy Ionian pacing.
Best For
- Corfu-start Ionian yacht charters
- Clients who want smaller-island charm rather than a busy resort stop
- Routes combining Paxos with Corfu, Antipaxos, Parga, Lefkada, or Kefalonia
- Relaxed catamaran and motor yacht weeks with shorter passages
- Guests who care more about swimming, villages, and dinner ashore than big excursions
Highlights
- Gaios: The main harbor and one of our favorite Ionian evening stops when the yacht and berth plan line up well.
- Lakka: A pretty northern bay and village area that often fits relaxed cruising days.
- Loggos: Smaller and quieter, good for guests who like a low-key harbor feel.
- Antipaxos: A natural pairing for bright-water swim stops close to Paxos.
- Blue Caves: A scenic west-coast highlight, best treated as a calm-weather daytime stop.
Paxos Anchorage
Paxos is usually planned around Gaios, Lakka, and nearby sheltered bays, with the final overnight choice depending on weather and berth availability. We recommend keeping the plan flexible because the best Paxos experience is often a combination of swim stops by day and a village evening ashore.
