10. TIAMO
It was impossible not to fall in love with Tiamo and her crew. It is very rare to find an all-female crew as on the Timao, and it has become a bit of a selling point. Captain Helene Dritsa told us about several charters they have had of groups of girlfriends celebrating birthdays together or just sharing a fun vacation, and they love it.
Tiamo’s layout also fits a social charter very well, with a bar connecting the main saloon to the aft deck and dining area, you have a big open space with cocktail making and snacks in the center.
The mood onboard Tiamo was wonderful, and Chef Iliana Driva took such good care of everyone who came onboard, serving delicious authentic Greek finger foods and mastic shots, which is something very unique to Greece.
9. PEARLY GATES
Pearly Gates surprised me. Plenty of power cats are nice; this one felt designed by someone who understands how people actually live on a yacht. Four cabins for 8 guests, and the aft pair have their own exterior access, which matters if you want some distance from the group.
Inside is clean and modern, grey tones and soft patterns, stylish without being precious about it. The salon opens onto the dining area and the galley stays part of the social space.
The flybridge was my favorite spot: hardtop bimini, sunbeds, a grilling station, and a deck shower so nobody tracks saltwater inside.
What stood out was the watersports setup. Mr. Gogas, the deckhand, is a qualified instructor in surfing, kitesurfing, SUP and sea kayaking. If you’re even slightly into any of that, having him aboard changes the week. The toys behind him: a SeaBob, wakeboard, water skis, towable, kayak, snorkeling gear, and a 4.6m tender with 60hp.
8. ALENA
I toured Alena at the EMMYS Yacht Show in Poros, and it didn’t take long to see why this 67-foot Fountaine Pajot is such a smart choice. Brand-new, three professional crew, a foredeck jacuzzi and plenty of water toys, at a price that feels like real value.
Captain Svetlin walked me through everything, from clever cabin storage to the new generators, which he described as “so quiet you can sleep in total peace and quiet.” He wasn’t exaggerating; she runs without that constant hum you get on a lot of yachts.
What pushes Alena into genuine bargain territory is the food. Chef Everest is a fine-dining talent of the kind you’d normally expect a tier up, with seven years across hotel restaurants and yacht galleys behind him. He’s big on fresh ingredients and adapts menus to guests without fuss.

7. ELLY
I met Captain Giorgos Benis aboard Elly at the EMMYS yacht show in Poros. He had spent his career on sailing yachts since 1995 and admitted the switch to a power cat felt strange at first, until he decided this was the future: motor-yacht distances on sailing-cat fuel.
The numbers back him up. She cruises at 10 knots on under 50 liters per hour, and pushing to 18 knots still only costs about 200. “Arriving faster means more time for the guests to enjoy the bay, the beach, the destination,” he said. “That’s what matters.”
Giorgos cares about details most people never think about, down to the drinking water: five filters, a softener and a sterilizer, still or sparkling. The master cabin is bright and genuinely suite-sized, and he runs the boat with chef Dimitris and hostess Nancy, a trio guests keep rating five stars.
6. CHRISTAL MIO
ChristAl Mio stuck with me after the EMMY Yacht Show in Poros. Not just another flashy power cat: spacious, well run, and consistently well reviewed by guests.
Start with the foredeck, which is enormous. It’s where everyone ends up when the sea is calm, stretched out on sunpads with something cold.
She has five cabins including a bright master, a big flybridge for breezy lunches, and an aft deck built for sunset dinners. The soundproofing is real, so cruising stays quiet.
17 knots gets you places quickly, but drop to 10 and she burns only 33 liters per hour, with a 1,200-mile range. The toy locker covers SeaBobs, SUPs, wakeboards and snorkeling gear.
The crew is what makes her work. Captain Theo Maniatakos has been aboard three seasons with a tight, professional team, all first-aid, life-saving and diving certified, and they buy fish straight off local boats for the chef.
5. JUST MARIE 2
Just Marie 2 is a lot of yacht for not many people, which makes her an easy recommendation for a couple after something private. She sleeps 6 guests in 3 ensuite queen cabins, and the master feels like it belongs on a much bigger boat: his-and-her closets, a private sitting area, and its own balcony, rare on a cat this size.
The sundeck has optional shade for when the sun gets too much, the aft deck is set up for alfresco dining over the water, and the foredeck carries plenty of loungers. When you want to cool off, wide, easy stairs take you straight in.
Past guests single out the crew for knowing what you need before you ask.
The toys are generous: a SeaBob, sea wings, wakeboard, paddleboards, water skis, an inflatable towable couch, and a water carpet for lounging on the surface. Rendezvous diving can be arranged if you want to see what’s under it.
4. ALTEYA
If you want a yacht that stands out rather than another white-and-beige floating hotel, Alteya delivers. This Sunreef 70 runs a bold black interior against blue, white and wood. It’s modern, edgy, and impossible to photograph badly.
The layout is as smart as the styling. Four queen cabins sleep 8, and crew quarters and galley are kept entirely separate, reached only from the aft cockpit, so guest and crew space never overlap.
The saloon opens right onto the aft deck as one big social zone. Up top the flybridge has oversized sun pads, a stocked bar and shaded dining; up front there’s a bow terrace for lazy afternoons.
Toys run to a jet ski, SeaBob, SUP, kayak, wakeboard and a spinning bike. Captain Tisho knows the fishing spots and will lend you the gear, deckhand Bozi handles happy hour, and the chef is worth turning up hungry for.
3. CRAZY HORSE
Two jet skis onboard, which is rare on a catamaran.
We were aboard Crazy Horse at the EMMYS yacht show in Poros, a Lagoon 78 that lands between serious luxury and laid-back comfort. Captain Tilemachos Aidinis knows these waters: “Even a week is enough to explore the smaller Cyclades, those quiet little islands south of Naxos and Paros. With 12 to 14 knots cruising speed, you get there fast and actually enjoy the places, not just the sailing.”
That’s the vibe aboard. The 5 ensuite cabins are modern and genuinely spacious, and the fifth converts from a double to two singles, useful with kids or friends who aren’t sharing.
Outside is where it happens. The flybridge has seating, loungers and an open ceiling for stargazing. Off the swim platform: two jet skis (license required), SUPs, a sailing dinghy, kayaks and snorkeling gear. A crew of five keeps it all effortless.
2. ALINA
Alina is the other new Fountaine Pajot 80 working out of Athens, launched the same year as Christal Mio 80 and run by the same operation.
Choosing between them comes down to headcount. Alina gives up the sixth cabin for more room per guest: five doubles, one king and four queens, for 10 guests with five crew.
Her toys lean toward the water rather than the deck. A Williams Sportjet 520 with 230 horsepower does tender duty, alongside two SiFly efoils, three Seabobs, two paddleboards, kayaks, a wakeboard, water skis, a three-person towable and snorkel gear for ten.
Rates match her sister at EUR 70,000, EUR 80,000 and EUR 90,000 by season, plus 6.5% VAT and APA, with the same Athens base and Red Sea winter.
1. CHRISTAL MIO 80
Christal Mio 80 is the newest and largest boat on this list, a 2026 Fountaine Pajot running out of Athens. Six double cabins sleep 12 guests, two more than anything else here, looked after by six crew.
If the name looks familiar, she is the bigger sister to ChristAl MiO at number 6, from the same Greek operation.
Her rate runs EUR 70,000 a week in the quiet months, EUR 80,000 either side of summer and EUR 90,000 from mid June to mid September, plus 6.5% VAT and APA. She heads to the Red Sea for the winter, so Greek dates run May to October.
The toy locker is deep: two Seabobs, a Jetsurf, a Fliteboard, two sea scooters, four paddleboards, kayaks, a wakeboard, water skis and a four meter inflatable island, all launched off a Highfield 4.60. A jet ski can be arranged on request, though it is not carried onboard.
