Lefkada

Lefkada is an attractive island of the Ionian Sea, often referred to as “the Caribbean of Greece.” Featuring lush greenery and attractive beaches dominated by looming cliffs, Lefkada is accessible by car via a small bridge that connects the island with the mainland. Lefkas, located in the north, is the capital of the island, while Nidri, located on the east side of Lefkada, is the main tourist resort and seaport.

Beaches on the west coast, however, are the reason why most travelers visit Lefkada Island in summer. Featuring a mix of rocky surroundings, milky-white waters, and greenery, Egremni, Porto Katsiki, and Mylos are just a few of the top beaches of Lefkada. Vassiliki Bay, located in the south, is one of Europe’s best windsurfing destinations.
