Prasonisi is an anchorage in Kimolos.
Kimolos is a charter location in Cyclades, a yacht charter area in Greece.
The anchorages on Kimolos:
Location
Ormos Prasonisi anchorage is located to the northeast of Kimolos. It is actually a cove with a tiny islet that will act as a good resting stop during your voyage in the Cyclades. The cove is just beside the Ak Anatoli tip of the island that is entirely bare from the northerlies.
Note: This is not to be confused with the Rhodes cape or a café in the Kimolos with the same name.
Mooring at Prasonisi
Since it’s fully open from the north, Prasonisi provides no shelter from the Meltemi. Care must be taken while mooring in the Ak Anatoli islet, where the suggested anchor is three to four meters. Holding is not great when the water is choppy, so make sure you take a line ashore for more safety.
While mooring, take care of the reef between the Prasonisi islet and Kimolos island. It is not as rocky as Pirgonisi but caution is still recommended.
Provisioning and Services
Prasonisi is not suited for provisioning.
