HBC Yacht Description

  • Glass-Bottomed Swimming Pool & Beach Club:

Unique pool with beach club below offers fantastic water access and family fun together.
  • Extensive Water Toys:

Includes 3 Wave Runners, 5 premium SeaBobs, E-foil, wakeboards, kitesurf gear, 2 kayaks & more.
  • Jacuzzi on Sundeck for Relaxation:

Large deck jacuzzi with sunbeds, perfect for romance and luxury unwinding with sea views.

Start with the glass-bottom pool sitting over a full-beam beach club. That’s HBC’s core trick: a 281-foot Abeking & Rasmussen that turned its stern into a vertical playground in the 2024 refit—pool above, lounge and dual fold-down “bikini decks” at water level below. Step from cinema-style lounging straight onto toys, tenders, Seabobs, jet skis, e-foil and glass-bottom kayaks without ever pretending you came here just to sunbathe.

Then add a Jacuzzi on the sundeck, an elevator to all guest decks and a gym that actually looks like a gym. Technogym kit, massage room, proper beach club, outdoor cinema, multiple bars and more dining zones than most small hotels. You’re not choosing “inside or outside”; you’re choosing which version of either.

Guest setup is built for serious groups. Around 11–12 guests in 11 double cabins, including a master suite with his-and-hers bathrooms and dressing room, plus VIP and a spread of king and queen cabins that keep everyone on roughly equal footing. No “someone-stuck-in-the-bunk-cabin” politics.

Service is industrial-strength. Roughly 28 crew for a dozen guests is an unapologetic ratio. That translates to real multi-zone operations: toys running, formal dining, spa treatments, movie night and beach-club cocktails all happening in parallel without the wheels coming off.

Range and stability are baked in, not bolted on. Steel hull, at-anchor stabilizers and about 6,690nm range at ~13.5 knots means crossing oceans and then behaving like a villa when you get there. No helipad theatrics, just long legs and a lot of fuel.

In short: HBC is for clients who want a charter that feels like occupying a small, mobile resort—pool, beach club, toys, spa, gym, serious crew density—rather than just “renting a big boat.”

Price Terms

Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see

Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).

All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.

The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).

For a motor yacht like HBC, the expected APA is 25% to 40% of the charter price (€212,500 - €340,000), making the charter cost €1,062,500 to €1,190,000. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.

You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).

The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.

Crew

Captain: Bobby Groves

Bobby runs HBC like a precision machine, reading weather, crowds, and coastlines so you get the sweet spots—quiet bays, clean water, and zero hassle. He blends big-yacht authority with easygoing access, so guests feel protected, not policed.
  • Over 100,000 nautical miles logged.
  • Has captained vessels up to 92m.
  • Extensive experience on both private and charter yachts.
  • Working towards Marshall Islands Unlimited License.

Daniel builds menus like campaigns—clean, sharp, and custom to you—turning local markets and your requests into plates that hit fast and stay memorable. He likes guests who push him, so special requests don’t slow him down, they light the fuse.
  • Cooking professionally since age 15.
  • Background in Michelin-starred restaurants.
  • Experience across multiple international gastronomic projects.
  • Specializes in healthy, internationally influenced menus.

Nick is the one who reads the water at a glance, lining up tight maneuvers and toy operations so your day runs hard and smooth with zero drama. His race-bred instincts turn shifting wind and traffic into simple, clean guest time.
  • Former dinghy racer with Team GB.
  • Over 12 years on large yachts.
  • Holds Master 3000GT license.

Josh is the quiet fixer on deck, turning loose plans into sharp, choreographed days—landings, toys, and timing all dialed in so it feels effortless from your side. He hunts out those Exumas-style, low-traffic pockets and builds the experience around them.
  • Joined superyachts at age 19.
  • Progressed from deckhand to Chief Officer.
  • Holds Master 3000GT and Unlimited Officer licenses.

Abby runs service like a tight grid—every table, turn-down, and glass placed with intent—so you feel the yacht adapting to you in real time. She exploits HBC’s multiple dining zones to flip the mood fast: formal, barefoot, late-night, your call.
  • Born in Amsterdam and raised in Cape Town.
  • Professional background includes work in the Middle East.
  • Focused on elevating wine and culinary knowledge.

Hannah splices smart city polish with sea-time intuition, building evenings that feel curated, not scripted—decks, music, lighting, and timing all keyed to your group. She knows when to bring you ashore and when to keep the whole show on board.
  • Degree in social science from Brighton University.
  • Nine years in London in financial fund management and the music industry.
  • Experienced in designing guest experiences on large yachts.

Ian keeps the technical side invisible—no hums, no glitches, just cold air, hot water, and power on tap—so the yacht feels more like a controlled environment than a moving ship. When something bites, he moves fast and quiet so you never see the smoke.
  • Trained initially in motor vehicle mechanics.
  • Holds a mechanical engineering degree.
  • Holds a master’s in philosophy for materials research.

Nikola brings big-ship discipline to HBC, running systems with cargo-vessel rigor so long passages, heavy toy days, and late-night partying stay inside safe limits. He likes refits and upgrades, which means the machinery under you never stands still.
  • Engineering degree from the Marine University of Dubrovnik.
  • Speaks English, Croatian, and Spanish.
  • STCW Chief Engineer Unlimited with 20+ years at sea.
  • Background on bulk carriers, heavy-lift vessels, and offshore oil before superyachts.
