Start with the main plot twist: LE PONANT is an 84m, three‑masted motor‑sailer rebuilt top‑to‑bottom in 2022, running a full spa, cinema, pool and deck jacuzzi for just 32 guests. That’s cruise‑ship scale amenities with private‑yacht headcount, supported by a 34‑person crew whose job is basically “no, you don’t lift that”.
This is a sailing yacht that behaves like a micro‑expedition ship. You get three masts, clean uncluttered decks, a beach club, salt‑water pool, jacuzzi on deck, elevator between decks, spa with dedicated therapist and fitness coach, plus a proper movie theatre when the sun goes down. Stabilizers at anchor and a steel hull keep things civilised while everyone pretends this is still “adventure travel”.
Guest setup is built for real groups, not brochure math. Sixteen convertible suites sleep up to 32 guests; every cabin has two 90cm beds that join into a king, so you can flip between doubles and twins across the whole yacht without playing Tetris with the guest list. It’s purpose‑built for multigenerational families, corporate groups or joint charters where no one wants the “bad cabin”.
Shore landings and toys are not an afterthought. Expedition‑style Zodiac tenders move people quickly and safely for beach landings and remote access. On the water you’ve got kayaks, paddleboards, convertible SUP/windsurf boards, sea scooters, a jellyfish pool and full scuba kit with compressor, supported by qualified crew and local dive ops for serious underwater time. Translation: this isn’t just sunpads and background Wi‑Fi.
Why charter LE PONANT instead of another big white thing: because you get large‑ship comfort, small‑yacht numbers, genuine sailing hardware, a French‑led galley, real wellness facilities and an expedition‑ready tender + dive setup — all pre‑wired for groups who actually plan to use the yacht, not just post it.
