Advertised by DMA Yachting, the astonishing charter yacht VALIUM 55 is a 54 ft sailing catamaran. VALIUM 55 spends the summer and winter season in Greece. She was delivered by the well-known ship builder Lagoon in 2023. The spacious yacht layout features 5 generous cabins and easily accommodates up to 10 guests.

VALIUM 55 is classified primarily as a sailing catamaran. The central space of the yacht is the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck is where heart of the yacht is and usually it where you, as a charter guest, spend most of your time. The modern cabins offer unbeatable views in the morning and are located just below deck. The cabins are located below the main saloon, connected by stairs (inquire about handicapped access). Multiple portholes add to the feeling of connection with the discovered environment.

Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see

Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).

All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.

The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).

For a sailing catamaran like VALIUM 55, the expected APA is 20% to 35% of the charter price (€4,400 - €7,700), making the charter cost €26,400 to €29,700. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.

You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).

The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.

Captain: Andreas Gkiatis

Captain - Andreas Gkiatis
Captain Andreas was born in 1992 in Athens, Greece, and has been passionate about the sea from a young age. He holds a sailing license, a speed boat license, a first aid certificate, and certifications in life-saving and firefighting techniques. Fluent in English, Andreas combines strong maritime qualifications with hands-on experience, making him a confident and capable captain. He has spent four full seasons operating as Captain on daily cruises across the Cycladic islands, including Paros, Naxos, and Koufonisia. His intimate knowledge of the Aegean Sea, hidden coves, and picturesque anchorages makes him an expert at curating memorable and personalized itineraries for his guests. Additionally, Andreas spent two years as the deckhand and trusted right hand of the Captain of a Lagoon 65. Working onboard year-round, he was an invaluable part of the crew, responsible for the day-to-day operations, guest services, and overall upkeep of the yacht. His dedication, attention to detail, and strong work ethic earned him the respect of his team and the trust of guests. Andreas is known for his calm demeanor, professionalism, and natural leadership. He is deeply committed to delivering exceptional service, ensuring the safety and comfort of everyone on board, and creating unforgettable experiences at sea.

Chef - Raphael Arapakis
Born and raised in Piraeus, with a proud family legacy spanning five generations in fishing, my love for the sea and food was almost inevitable. I bring extensive experience in the culinary field, having worked across restaurants, hotels, festivals, and private events. My culinary philosophy is founded on authenticity and simplicity: fresh, high-quality ingredients, refined techniques, and flavors that pay tribute to Greek tradition. My aim is to craft dishes that awaken memories and evoke genuine emotion.


Deckhand/Steward - Dimitris Stratomitros
Dimitris is 20 years old and is embarking on his second year onboard S/Cat Valium 55’. With deep-rooted passion for sailing, he has participated in numerous sailing races and regattas, showcasing his exceptional maritime skills. Dimitris brings both his dedication and expertise to the team, making him a valuable asset. Beyond sailing, he has a strong passion for sports, particularly football, tennis, free diving, and spearfishing. He is fluent in both Greek and English.
