SY MELITI is the “serious sailing, serious comfort” option for six guests who actually want to sail, not just pose on a white sofa. Built by Garcia and refit in 2021, this 86ft aluminum performance cruiser is designed to cross oceans efficiently and in comfort, with low fuel burn and a hull meant for real miles, not marina selfies.
The win here is range + autonomy. Large desalinator, efficient systems, full air-conditioning, and a comfortable, genuinely usable deck layout mean you can stay out longer without feeling like you’re camping. The aft deck is set up as a proper outdoor living space: shaded dining, lounging areas, swim platform with ladder, and a hydraulic gangway for easy access ashore.
Inside, it’s built for an adult group who values space over headcount. Three cabins sleep six: a master with king bed and its own TV, DVD and independent chart plotter (yes, your cabin has nav gear), plus a queen and an additional double. The saloon runs as a proper living room with home cinema, Bluetooth/USB media hub and a separate dining area, more “small apartment” than “floating corridor.”
Toy locker: respectable, not ridiculous. Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).
All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.
The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).
For a sailboat like S/Y MELITI, the expected APA is 15% to 30% of the charter price (€3,525 - €7,050), making the charter cost €27,025 to €30,550. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.
