The world renowned naval architects Finot-Conq have an enviable reputation in the sailing world. Among their previous racing builds are IMOCA 60s and the Pogo series and their latest creation is the 100ft cruiser NOMAD IV. NOMAD IV is easily adaptable and she can be both an impressive racing yacht or a comfortable cruising yacht for charter.
Her mast is 47m the water and she has 9 ton water ballast tanks each side, a short cord performance lifting keel, twin rudders and full carbon construction. Inside NOMAD IV there is spacious and modern accommodation for 12 guests with four crew. The 30.48m yacht was built by the Maxi Dolphin shipyard in Italy.
Marketed as the “world’s fastest 100-foot cruising sailing superyacht,” NOMAD IV is basically a race boat that accidentally became a comfortable charter yacht. Designed by Finot-Conq and built in 2013 (refit 2021), she runs a 46m rig, 9 tons of water ballast per side, a lifting keel and twin rudders – translation: if you actually want to feel what 100 feet of carbon-fed sail power can do, this is the one.
This is a performance machine that still sleeps a full house. NOMAD IV accommodates up to 12 guests in 5 cabins, including a proper master plus a smart mix of doubles, bunks and a large quadruple cabin that works well for families, kids, or the “we’ll sleep when we’re home” crowd. You get big-volume interior spaces for a boat this fast, with full air conditioning and proper entertainment (SAT-TV, salon TV, inside/outside speakers) so the off-watch can disappear into a movie while the helm junkies trim.
The playbook on deck is simple: sail hard, then abuse the toy locker. Once the sails are down you’ve got a jet-ski tender (120hp), water skis, wakeboard, multiple kayaks, paddleboards and snorkelling gear, plus two extra sailboats for guests who want to keep racing even after the big rig is parked. It’s set up for genuinely active charters where “going for a swim” escalates quickly into “let’s try to tow everyone behind something with an engine.”
The other key asset is the crew, who actually live this style of sailing. The captain has round-the-world racing credentials, including a non-stop solo circumnavigation via the three great capes, and the chef and interior team are long-term on board, used to running serious performance passages while still delivering a clean, calm, guest-facing experience. In practice, that means you get race-level handling without being treated like ballast.
If you want a floating beach club, look elsewhere. If you want to cover serious miles under sail, with 12 people, at speed, in something purpose-built for it – NOMAD IV is the sharp end of the list.

Price Terms
Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see
Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).
All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.
The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).
For a sailboat like NOMAD IV, the expected APA is 15% to 30% of the charter price (€9,900 - €19,800), making the charter cost €75,900 to €85,800. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.
You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).
The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.
