Our Opinion of HAKUNA MATATA

This 121 ft long motor yacht usually departs from Athens but can be chartered out of Cyclades, with all the joyful freedom expected of its name. It’s available for charter in the Greek charter areas of the Aegean, Saronic and Ionian seas, where it spends both the summer and winter seasons.

The yacht’s decor is inspired by modern Greek design and the carefree lifestyle they represent. A casual elegance pervades the entire ship, from the white accent furniture to the colorful beach art scattered throughout.

EXTERIOR

The exterior of Hakuna Matata is just as elegant, with sleek lines and a teak deck that make her the perfect choice for any cruise to Saronic Gulf or Cyclades. The lower deck area is equipped with sunbeds, loungers, and a dining table that seats up to 10 people in style! The upper deck has a sun terrace with sun loungers, an additional dining area, a bar as well a jacuzzi.

INTERIOR

The interior of Hakuna Matata is designed to capture the feeling of the Greek islands, with an open layout and an eye toward simplicity. Designed with simplicity and comfort in mind and all the modern conveniences you expect from a luxury yacht, including AC throughout the vessel and high-speed wifi.

ACCOMMODATION

The Hakuna Matata Yacht has six cabins, each with an en-suite bathroom and shower. One of the two Master Suite cabins is located on the upper deck, while the remaining five are on the lower deck. The cabins below deck are 2 VIP suites, 1 Master Suite, and two twin cabins, each with one Pullman birth. All cabins are meticulously styled with soft colors, beautiful woodwork, and modern amenities.

WATER TOYS

The Hakuna Matata Yacht is equipped with various water toys for your enjoyment, including water skis for adults and children, two paddleboards, a one-person kayak, jet ski, and wakeboard, as well as snorkel gear. Scuba diving is also available on request should you want to explore underwater while on vacation.
With a friendly and expertly trained crew, Hakuna Matata promises the best in space, comfort, and amenities to make your charter in Greece an unforgettable experience.

Onboard HAKUNA MATATA in Nafplion.

She gets a refit every year to keep her in top condition, and she is.

Our broker, John Boullin, had lunch onboard earlier, and all was praise.

HAKUNA MATATA is a fantastic family yacht, and she is not afraid of embracing it: The Lion King theme is carried through in a really fun way: each cabin is named after a different character. The two twins are set up for kids: one with a super creative jungle theme and the other with cute stuffed toys.

Great cruising speed of 25 knots. If you want to take your family on an adventure of a lifetime, fast island hopping through the Saronic or Cyclades, this is an exceptional option.

HAKUNA MATATA Yacht Description

  • Jetski SeaDoo 250hp:
Powerful and thrilling jet ski for guest water fun—rare on motor yachts and highly sought after.
  • Four Seabob F5SR with cameras:
Premium SeaBobs allow guests to explore underwater life effortlessly, adding a luxe twist to water sports.
  • Jacuzzi on the sun deck:
Perfect spot for romantic relaxation or cocktails with sea views while soaking under the sun or stars.

Start with the headline hack: HAKUNA MATATA is a freshly refit (2023) 36.8m Couach built to move fast (24‑knot cruise) without drinking fuel like a 60m – in fact, she’s known as one of the most fuel‑efficient hulls in her category. Translation: big‑yacht feel, planing‑hull speed, business‑class running costs.

Top deck is where the operating system really boots up. A huge sundeck runs the full social stack: hard‑top shade, dining for 12, full bar and a proper jacuzzi, surrounded by sunpads and lounging space so everyone can “get away from everyone” without actually leaving the boat. At anchor, zero‑speed stabilisers keep the whole platform level so your drink, your drone and your dignity all stay upright.

Cabin layout is built for real groups, not fantasy brochures. Six cabins sleep up to 12 guests, with a rare dual‑Master setup (one on main deck, one on lower deck), two VIPs and two twins with Pullmans. That means actual parity for grown‑ups, fewer “who gets the good cabin” negotiations, and a layout that works for multigenerational families, two families sharing, or friends who like each other enough to travel but not enough to share a bed.

Water‑toy bay = floating sandbox for adults. One Sea‑Doo jetski, four Seabob F5SR (with cameras), 2 eFoil surfboards, wakeboards, water‑ski sets for adults and kids, paddleboards, inflatable canapé, rings, plus a 5.4m Novurania Equator tender with 220hp to move the circus around. If you’re bored on this boat, that’s user error.

Inside, it’s clean UX, not gold‑leaf cosplay. A modern, Greek‑influenced interior, open‑plan saloon and dining for 12, full AC and Wi‑Fi, and a “rich inventory” of premium tableware brands like Christofle and Georg Jensen. The point isn’t bling; it’s that the details you touch three times a day have been thought through.

Why charter HAKUNA MATATA instead of the next 120‑footer in your tab bar: dual Masters, big shaded sundeck with jacuzzi and bar, full‑scale toy arsenal, stabilisers at anchor and underway, fast and unusually fuel‑efficient hull, and an 8‑person Greek crew with serious charter mileage. This is the boat you book when you want a high‑functioning platform for actual time together on the water, not just a photoshoot backdrop.

Price Terms

Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see

Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).

All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.

The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).

For a motor yacht like HAKUNA MATATA, the expected APA is 25% to 40% of the charter price (€26,250 - €42,000), making the charter cost €131,250 to €147,000. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.

You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).

The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.
