DAIMA Yacht Description

  • Two Jet Skis onboard:
Rare for a monohull gulet; perfect for guests seeking fun and adventure on the water.
  • Multiple water sports options:
Includes water skis, snorkeling & fishing gear—ideal for family fun and exploring marine life.
  • Spacious fold-down swim platform:
Easy water access for swimming, launching toys, and socializing with sea views and cocktails.

DAIMA is the answer to the “motor or sail?” argument – you get both. Traditional Turkish gulet lines on the outside, high-performance sail plan and twin Caterpillar engines underneath, and a fully modern superyacht interior in between. If you want proper sailing, not just a token mast, while still living like you’re on a motor yacht, this is one of the few yachts on the market built expressly for that.

At 139ft and sleeping 10 guests in 5 suites (full-beam master, VIP, another double and two twins), DAIMA runs with a 7‑person crew and was refitted in 2023, so the hardware, systems and interiors are all up to current expectations rather than nostalgia.

Core value proposition: big-boat sailing performance plus superyacht comfort. A large working sail area and serious rig mean you actually sail; when you don’t feel like it, the twin C12s move you quietly and efficiently. On deck, multiple lounging zones and a fold‑down swim platform turn the stern into a straightforward beach club without Instagram yoga lighting.

Inside, you get mahogany interiors with contemporary fixtures, state-of-the-art entertainment with over 1,000 films, Wi‑Fi, and a mini‑bar in every guest suite, plus a steam‑bath feature in the master’s shower for the “offline mode” crowd. It’s classic wood yacht atmosphere without giving up modern systems or air conditioning.

Water-side, DAIMA arrives with a serious toy stack: Castoldi 17ft 160hp jet tender, jet ski + stand-up jet ski, Seabobs, paddleboard, paddle bike, canoe, water-ski/mono-ski, snorkelling and fishing gear. Translation: if someone is bored on this boat, it’s user error.

Built under RINA supervision and winner of the Bodrum Cup, DAIMA is not a decorative gulet; she’s a proven performer. If your brief is “real sailing, real comfort, real toys” and not another anonymous white motor yacht, this is the short list candidate.

Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see

Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).

All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.

The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).

For a sailboat like DAIMA, the expected APA is 15% to 30% of the charter price (€11,700 - €23,400), making the charter cost €89,700 to €101,400. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.

You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).

The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.

Crew

Captain: Daniel

Daniel runs Daima like a precision road trip on water, reading weather, guests, and boat the same way and pushing her to sail whenever there’s breath in the rig. He gives you a safe, no‑nonsense ride with just enough edge to make every passage feel earned.
  • Over 93,000 sea miles logged, including 70,000+ miles under sail.
  • 15+ years professional yachting experience on vessels from 9m to 90m.
  • Ocean passages across the Mediterranean, Atlantic and to Southeast Asia via the Indian Ocean.
  • Honours Degree in French, Spanish and Political Science from the University of Northumbria.

Dogan squeezes every knot of performance out of Daima, trimming and tuning until the hull feels wired straight into the wind. He keeps deck operations sharp and smooth so guests get the clean excitement of real sailing without the friction.
  • Started professional yachting at age 14 in the Turkish charter sector.
  • Holds a captain’s licence obtained in 2008.
  • Joined Daima in May 2012 as First Mate.
  • Fluent Turkish and intermediate English.

Ümit treats Daima like a living machine, knowing every cable and line of pipework, keeping the yacht quiet, cool and ready while you focus on the sea outside. When the day stretches long, his calm grip on the technical side is what lets the rest of the show run clean.
  • Industrial Automation Engineer’s degree from Akdeniz University, Antalya.
  • Involved with Daima since construction; joined her full-time in 2009.
  • Long-term engineer for the Pruva fleet on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast.

Serdal turns fresh local produce into fast, tight plates—Mediterranean flavours, no clutter, all impact—so every meal hits like another destination. He reads the table the way a captain reads a chart, adjusting menus in real time to match how you actually live on board.
  • Originally from Adana, Turkey.
  • Experience on some of the largest and most prominent yachts in the Turkish charter fleet.
  • Specialises in Mediterranean cuisine, including Turkish meze, fish, Italian pastas and risottos.

Durmus keeps the action on deck loose and easy, launching toys, handling lines and clearing space so guests can move from sunbed to sea without breaking stride. He brings a straight-talking humour to the deck team that makes even busy days feel like downtime.
  • From Mersin on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast.
  • Background on motor yachts of various sizes before joining Daima.
  • Good English language skills and existing working relationship with the First Mate.

Pinar runs the guest spaces like a quiet current—cabins reset, drinks moving, details handled before you even see them coming. She brings lakeside instincts and charter-season discipline together so the interior stays calm even when the schedule doesn’t.
  • Born and raised on Lake Köyceğiz near Dalyan on Turkey’s Aegean coast.
  • First yacht role as housekeeper on a Turkish-flag charter yacht (2006–2008).
  • Progressive training and experience in service before joining Daima as hostess.

Turkan is the one quietly erasing the chaos—linen sharp, glassware clear, cabins turned over so fast it feels like the boat resets with every tide. She stays close but never in the way, stepping in exactly when guests need a hand and vanishing when they don’t.
  • Born in Denizli, Turkey (1968).
  • Seven years’ experience as chef’s assistant, housekeeper and stewardess on yachts of various sizes.
  • Responsible for maintaining Daima’s interior cleanliness and guest support on board.
