Presented by DMA Yachting, the breathtaking charter yacht BABALU is a 55 ft sailing catamaran. BABALU spends the summer and winter season in Greece. She was delivered by the renowned boatbuilder Bali Catamarans in 2019. The expansive yacht layout features 5 large cabins and easily accommodates up to 10 guests.

BABALU is introduced primarily as a sailing catamaran. The the heart of the yacht is the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck is where heart of the yacht is and that's where most of the meals are served. The tasteful cabins are located in the 2 massive hulls. The cabins offer unbeatable views in the morning and are located just below deck. Multiple portholes connect you with the outside world.

The sailboat features ENGINES: 2x80hp Yanmar GENERATORS: 1 χ 24.5 ΚW engines .

Captain: Lefteris Fanioudakis

Captain Lefteris Fanioudakis
Lefteris was born in 1989 in Crete island. Among other certificates he holds the MCA/RYA certificate of Competence Yacht master Ocean for Power & Sailing vessels, Captain’s Medical Care and PADI Dive Master certificate. Lefteris could not think of a life away from the sea, so he was always seeking to combine his job with it. When he was younger he started working as a windsurfing instructor in Crete, then he continued as a skipper on various commercial sailing vessels and since then he has worked both on sailing yachts/catamarans and motor yachts in Greece. During his spare time, if he is not sailing, she likes cycling, travelling, windsurfing, taking photographs and paragliding. Also, he is a volunteer fireman. Apart from Greek he also speaks English. He is always ready to welcome his guests on board to ensure an unforgettable experience and show the most beautiful hotspots of Greek islands!

Cook Vicky Kolovou
Vicky is an outgoing individual born in Greece. The last years she has been working on board crewed catamarans as a Cook. She loves cooking Greek cuisine and always strives to learn more about new techniques about it. Vicky has sailing knowledge as well so she is an asset for BABALU's team! She knows preparing coffee and cocktails while all the guests enjoy her genuinely positive personality. If she has some free time she prefers riding her horse or reading literature. Vicky also enjoys cinema and is eco conscious. Cooking is her true passion, but she is also studying Psychology at Panteion University in Athens. She speaks Greek and English

Hostess Emilia Tarasca
Emilia is half Greek half Italian. She is a young professional who has studied in the Technical Institute for Hotel Hospitality in Bari and also got a Diploma in Economy & Administration in Tourism. Emilia started her career in the Tourism industry as breakfast hostess, then she worked in Guests relations for daily cruises. Being enthusiast about the sea she decided that life on board is what will allow her combine her passion with her job, so in 2022 she joined the industry. Now, Emilia is on board BABALU completing her amazing team of three! She is adaptable, dedicated to what she's doing and has outstanding communicative skills. Emilia speaks English, Italian and Greek.

Captain: Thank you so much for being a brilliant Captain this week! We re felt very safe with you at the helm! Of course we have to mention the speedboat trips which have been a huge success! It has genuinely been such a good laugh and we really appreciate all your help!
Chef: What would we have done without your fab cooking? There is nothing better than waking up to a lovely breakfast table and in particular to freshly cooked pancakes! A firm favorite are the zucchini frittas which we will miss hugely when we go home, alongside all the fresh fish, salads and much more! Despite the size of the kitchen, you have managed to feed 10 greedy people and we have loved every meal!
Stewardess: You are really a magician! Thank you so much for making our trip incredibly relaxing and for being so friendly all the time! Of course we will really miss your assortment of lovely coffees and fredo espresso! Also thank you for squeezing lots of lemons on girls for blonder hair1 it does seem to have worked 

Thank you to the best crew for the most amazing week, we have some incredible memories. The food, service and sailing was second to none, we wanted for nothing.

Our charter of Babalu is now complete and we will definitely be returning. Everyone involved has been first class. This was our first experience of chartering a yacht and right from our initial enquiry with Boatbookings through to our Captain arranging for water taxis to take us from Babalu to Spetses and our villa at the end of our week nothing was too much trouble.
Our crew, looked after all our requirements even though we had a mixed set of needs (vegan, vegetarian and gluten free!)
Captain planned our route and showed us Greek islands and sunsets that you will never see on the normal tourist route.
Babalu is very spacious and being a catamaran it was very stable with more than enough space for us to relax in comfort. From us all, thank you.

The islands were all so beautiful and explained so many aspects of life in Greece. The food is something we will ALWAYS remember Nenetta poured her heart and soul into every meal, especially Adam’s Birthday cake!!! Playing “Bullshit” with Nikos was so memorable. Suzanne couldn’t have done enough for us. Always taking care of us! The long journey on rough sea’s was quite an adventure. We are grateful that Nikos had the experience to get us all safety back. What an amazing experience we had on the Babalu! From the beginning the crew made sure we had a great time from boarding in Athens to the many islands which the kids named for themselves. We had a wonderful experience at each island. Waters was beautiful. Snorkeling was awesome. Can’t say enough about the food!! Each meal seemed to be better than the last. Lots of stories told. Lots of liquids drank! What happened in Greece stays in Greece 😊Thank you Captain Niko, Nenetta, Susana for making this experience better than expected! I appreciate you making us feel like family. Among other certificates he holds the MCA/RYA certificate of Competence Yacht master Ocean for Power & Sailing vessels, Captain’s Medical Care and PADI Dive Master certificate. Lefteris could not think of a life away from the sea, so he was always seeking to combine his job with it. When he was younger he started working as a windsurfing instructor in Crete, then he continued as a skipper on various commercial sailing vessels and since then he has worked both on sailing yachts/catamarans and motor yachts in Greece. During his spare time, if he is not sailing, she likes cycling, travelling, windsurfing, taking photographs and paragliding. Also, he is a volunteer fireman. Apart from Greek he also speaks English. He is always ready to welcome his guests on board to ensure an unforgettable experience and show the most beautiful hotspots of Greek islands! <br /> <br /> Cook Vicky Kolovou<br /> Vicky is an outgoing individual born in Greece. The last years she has been working on board crewed catamarans as a Cook. She loves cooking Greek cuisine and always strives to learn more about new techniques about it. Vicky has sailing knowledge as well so she is an asset for BABALU's team! She knows preparing coffee and cocktails while all the guests enjoy her genuinely positive personality. If she has some free time she prefers riding her horse or reading literature. Vicky also enjoys cinema and is eco conscious. Cooking is her true passion, but she is also studying Psychology at Panteion University in Athens. She speaks Greek and English <br /> <br /> <br /> Hostess Emilia Tarasca<br /> Emilia is half Greek half Italian. She is a young professional who has studied in the Technical Institute for Hotel Hospitality in Bari and also got a Diploma in Economy & Administration in Tourism. Emilia started her career in the Tourism industry as breakfast hostess, then she worked in Guests relations for daily cruises. Being enthusiast about the sea she decided that life on board is what will allow her combine her passion with her job, so in 2022 she joined the industry. Now, Emilia is on board BABALU completing her amazing team of three! She is adaptable, dedicated to what she's doing and has outstanding communicative skills. During his spare time, if he is not sailing, she likes cycling, travelling, windsurfing, taking photographs and paragliding. Also, he is a volunteer fireman. Apart from Greek he also speaks English. He is always ready to welcome his guests on board to ensure an unforgettable experience and show the most beautiful hotspots of Greek islands! <br /> <br /> Chef George Dimopoulos<br /> George was born in Athens in 1992 and he is a highly skilled Chef who is passionate about discovering new tastes and creating delicious food. Apart from his degree as a Chef from a Culinary Institute he also has studied accounting. From the beginning the crew made sure we had a great time from boarding in Athens to the many islands which the kids named for themselves. We had a wonderful experience at each island.
