Crete Siros (Syros) is one of the few Cycladic islands that retained it’s French influence. It is probably the only place where you can find the Anise sausage. Also, the local laukoumi is delicious – it’s not the sweet sticky thing you might have tried. You would be wise to skip the capital Hermopouli and give your yacht crew a chance to impress you with one of the smaller bays.
