Ionian Yacht Charter

Top 10 Catamarans Based in the Ionian Islands 2027 (€22k-€68k)

Last updated: September 2026. Ionian bases verified against each yacht’s own record or confirmed with her operating fleet for 2027.

More of our clients ask for the Ionian every year, and most are repeat Greek charterers. They have done the Cyclades, and now they want calm water, short hops, and a week they do not have to plan around the wind.

Most Greek catamarans are based in Athens, so an Ionian week usually carries a relocation fee, and at eight knots you lose two days of the charter getting there. If speed matters more than deck space, look at the motor yachts based in the Ionian instead. Every catamaran below already works the Ionian, either with a home port on her own record or confirmed for 2027 by the fleet that operates her. SERENISSIMA III is the exception, crossing from Athens, and her entry says so. Ranked by starting price, cheapest first.

Broker insight

Most Greek charter yachts are based in Athens, so an Ionian week normally comes with a relocation fee on top. Skip all of it by starting with a yacht that already lives there.

10. LULU

LULU works Preveza to Preveza and she is one of the two newest catamarans on this list, delivered in 2026.

She is a Lagoon 55 sleeping eight guests in four cabins, a master with a desk area and three queen doubles, all with private facilities. The flybridge runs to ten square meters, there is an aft swimming platform and a shaded foredeck lounge, and a bimini hard top means you get shade fore and aft rather than choosing between them. Starlink and a four zone Fusion system are standard, and the outdoor cinema is the feature families ask about twice.

Toys run to two Seabobs, a Fliteboard, two paddleboards, a kayak, water skis and a wakeboard in both adult and child sizes, and a four by two meter floating mattress. She starts at €22,000 a week. For a family of eight who want a brand new boat and short hops straight out of Preveza, she is the first call on this list.

9. HUMBLE ONE

HUMBLE ONE is based in the Ionian and we have put clients on her twice this season. Both charters went well. One client accepted an upgrade a few weeks before departure and still came back happy with how it was handled.

She is a Lagoon 55 delivered in 2025, sleeping ten guests in five cabins, four doubles and a twin, with three crew. That cabin count at this price is why she keeps coming up: most boats asking €22,000 in the Ionian sleep eight. She cruises at eight knots, which suits the short hops between Lefkada, Meganisi and the Kalamos channel rather than long open passages.

Rates run €22,000 in the shoulder months to €30,500 in July and August, plus a 25 percent APA. For two families sharing, or a group of ten who would rather have the fifth cabin than more length, she is the value pick here.

8. MILLENNIUM FALCON II

MILLENNIUM FALCON II runs Corfu to Preveza and she is new for 2027, which means you are among her first charter guests.

She is a Bali 5.8 built in 2026, sleeping eight in four cabins: a master with a king bed and a desk area, two doubles and a twin, all en suite. The Bali layout is the draw. The garage door saloon opens the interior straight onto the aft deck so the cockpit and salon become one room, and the foredeck lounge and flybridge give you two more places to sit without anyone shifting furniture. Galley up, full air conditioning, WiFi throughout.

Her toy list is shorter than the bigger cats here: a Seabob F9, two paddleboards, water skis for adults and children, a three person towable couch, a donut, snorkeling gear and a fishing rod. She starts at €24,000. For a family of eight who want a boat nobody has chartered yet and a Corfu start, she is the one to look at.

7. HONEYMOON

HONEYMOON is based in the Ionian. Her summer home port is Kefalonia and Lefkada, printed on her own rate card, and she has run four charters for us out of there.

She is a Moon Yacht 65 catamaran delivered in 2025, sleeping eight guests in four en-suite doubles. What makes her work is the outdoor layout: a sun deck, an outdoor bar with an ice maker so drinks stay where the people are, a swim platform, and a deck shower. Starlink keeps everyone connected between islands, and the toy locker runs to a Seabob, sea scooters, paddleboards, kayaks, wakeboard and water skis for adults and children.

Our broker’s note from this July: my clients chartered HONEYMOON in the Ionian, a family trip with three young teens aboard, and came back full of praise for the condition of the yacht and above all the professionalism and warmth of the crew. Rates run €30,000 in the shoulder months and €41,000 in July and August.

6. MYMARIA

MYMARIA lives in Lefkas port, which puts her an hour from the best of the south Ionian on her first morning. We chartered her there in June 2026.

She is a brand-new Sunreef 60, delivered in 2025, and she is hard to beat for luxury at this money. Eight guests across four en-suite cabins, one master and three doubles. The flybridge carries a jacuzzi for four, the cockpit, skirts, deck and flybridge are all teak, and Starlink means a working week aboard is genuinely possible. Seabobs and paddleboards handle the water.

Our broker’s verdict after the charter: MYMARIA and her crew are a great match for a luxurious catamaran charter in the Ionian, a really good option for guests looking to elevate their time on the water. She is managed by Ionian Catamarans and runs Saturday to Saturday, so plan full weeks.

5. SUNMOON

SUNMOON cruises the Ionian on flexible ports and she is a Fountaine Pajot Alegria 67 delivered in 2024, the newest Alegria on this list.

She sleeps ten guests in five cabins, a master and four queen doubles, all with private facilities, with three crew. Her version of the Alegria leans comfortable rather than sporty: a heated jacuzzi on the foredeck, an ample flybridge, a hydraulic bathing platform that drops to the water, and an a la plancha grill outside so dinner does not have to come out of the galley. There is a safe in every cabin, which sounds minor until you have ten people and one set of passports.

Toys run to two Seabobs, two paddleboards, a wakeboard, adult water skis, a two person kayak, a towable couch, a Jobe multi board, a Flitescooter and a floating carpet. She starts at €33,500. For ten guests who want the middle of this list rather than either end, she is the one.

4. DOLLY

DOLLY is Ionian-based and takes ten guests in five en-suite cabins, which is the combination clients ask for most often.

She is a 2023 Fountaine Pajot 67, five en-suite cabins, one master and four queens, so no one in the group draws the short straw. The flybridge and forward cockpit give you separate places to sit rather than one crowded aft deck, and the hydraulic swim platform turns a swim stop into something you do repeatedly instead of once. There is a deck jacuzzi for the end of the day.

The toys are current rather than leftover: an E-foil, two Seabobs, and full snorkel and tow gear. For a group of ten wanting a modern catamaran in calm water without crossing €40,000, she is the strongest value on this list.

3. ARIVA

ARIVA is based in Corfu and cruises the Ionian all season. We put clients on her there in May 2026, and they left the crew a forty percent tip. In fifteen years of running charters we have seen that number a handful of times.

She is a 2023 Fountaine Pajot Power 67, ten guests in five double cabins, four crew. Being a power cat rather than a sailing cat matters here: you get the stability and deck space of a catamaran with the range to reach Zakynthos or Paxos in an afternoon rather than planning a whole day around the leg.

The forward deck carries a jacuzzi for two, the swim platform is hydraulic, and the toy list covers a Seabob, wakeboard, water skis, towables, two paddleboards, a kayak and a Highfield 460 tender with 60hp for runs ashore.

2. SERENISSIMA III

SERENISSIMA III runs out of Marina Nea Peramos near Athens and crosses for Ionian charters. We put a group of ten on her in the Ionian this July, and they have already booked their return for 2027.

She is a 2024 Fountaine Pajot Thira 80, ten guests in five double cabins, five crew. The deck plan is the best on this list: a flybridge for lounging and dining, a forward cockpit with a jacuzzi, and two side cockpits with opening wings. The practical effect is that ten people are never in each other’s way.

Our broker’s note: the captain and crew were the highlight of the week, and the toys kept the whole group entertained at anchor. Those toys are an Audi E-foil, a jet ski, two Seabobs and two sea scooters, with Starlink throughout. That week came to €107,525 all in.

1. FUNKY CHOICE

FUNKY CHOICE lists the Ionian Islands as her home port, and at €68,000 a week she is the most expensive catamaran on this list. Delivered in 2025, 88 ft.

Eight guests in four en-suite cabins, two of them full masters with king beds, which is a configuration you almost never see at this size. It suits two couples travelling together, or one family that wants a second cabin of the same standard rather than a hierarchy of berths.

She carries a 9 m Storm chase tender with twin 300hp engines, which changes how a week works: the group can reach a beach or a taverna without repositioning the mother ship for every move. Two jet skis, a Seabob, a jacuzzi and full snorkel and fishing gear cover the rest. If you want the top of the Ionian-based market, she is it.
