Having worked as a freelance charter captain for more than a decade, Thomas combines exceptional seamanship with strong leadership and a calm, professional demeanor. His background in the hospitality industry, spanning 17 years in restaurants and hotels, enhances his ability to deliver an outstanding guest experience with attention to detail and warm Greek hospitality. Holding an RYA Yachtmaster Offshore with commercial endorsement, as well as Greek Offshore and Motor Yacht Licenses (up to 70ft) and STCW 10 certification, Captain Thomas ensures safety, comfort, and enjoyment on every voyage. Fluent in English and Greek, with a working knowledge of Spanish, he brings enthusiasm, reliability, and a deep love for the sea to every charter he commands.

Captain: This is her first season in charter, so she's pretty much brand new. You have a luxurious, small little apartment that can get you into different places every day.

Captain: They love the cabins, they love our service, they love the islands we go to, so they are happy pretty much about all the things we can serve them separately. Like, they're happy with the food, they're happy with my places that I choose for them to visit. They're happy with the beds and the cleaning of the decks too. If you want more privately, you can get in more privately. If you want more crowded, you get in more crowded. So it's the adaptability of the boat.
Captain: We are very happy with the galley-up setup because our chef also is a very interactive person and he always likes to have by himself feedback of what the guests like, what is... because it is quite an interactive environment. The guests are walking past the chef all day long.
Broker: Exactly, exactly.
Captain: They're asking for advice, you know, dishes they like during the day. They're asking for recipes. They are next to him. It's a pleasure for us to have our guests in the same area as we work because we are a team in the end of the day. So it's a really nice way to have them around you and have something nice to talk about.
Broker: This is the way exactly we use it when we charter it. All the windows are open so...
Captain: Oh, so this slides back?
Broker: Yes, yes, yes.
Captain: This slides back and you can separate the two areas, but we have it mostly like that so we can have a, you know, a contact directly with them. It's also good that we have also a door to the bow of the boat so whoever is separated, sitting some here, some there, we can just walk to them, help them.
Broker: They've had some extra cupboards fitted so everything is put away very nicely on the yacht.
Captain: Some of the Allegrias work with four people as well, but our mindset is lesser people doing more work is better because we are also, um, how, more discreet to our guests, you know, we give them space. If we are more crew, it feels, you know, uh, you don't want to be on top of people.
Broker: Exactly, because ultimately it is still quite a close environment for one week.
Captain: Yes, yes, yes. It has many options for the guests to, even if they want to have time separately, some can sit in the cockpit, some might sit in the front, some might fly, yes, the enormous flybridge.
Broker: I recognize a good broker from the approach he has on the boat. The advantage is to actually meet us in person and see who we are and what we do, how our guests can feel secure that their vacation will be as planned. It's a thing that makes them build trust to our boat. It's important for me to meet the captain of Sunmoon, to have a good look around the yacht, see how spotless she is, to get that firsthand experience so we can pass that on to the clients.
