Charter a yacht of around 160 feet in Greece and you are in the 50 metre class. On this site we file it as every listing from 146 to 185 feet, about 45 to 56 metres, which sits between our 40 metre and 60 metre guides. We list 58 yachts in that band. The number that shapes the class is 12: 45 of those 58 take 12 guests or fewer, because of the passenger rule explained below.
We picked these 10 to show the range rather than to rank the whole class: ten different builders, from a 1966 Camper & Nicholsons to a 2025 ADA, with a Perini Navi sailing yacht among them. The countdown runs from #10, the shortest, up to #1, the longest, by listed length. Where two yachts share the same length, the newer one ranks higher. Every figure below comes from the yacht’s listing on this site as it stood on 27 September 2026. Rates are weekly, low season to high season; availability is not checked here, so tell us your dates and we will.
What 50 metres gets you
12 guests, as a rule. The IMO says a ship carrying more than 12 passengers on international voyages is usually treated as a passenger ship, with its own set of rules (see the IMO definition). The count is of passengers, so guests, not working crew. So most charter yachts of this size are set up for 12 guests or fewer. Of our 58 listings in the band, 45 take 12 guests or fewer, and the other 13 are listed for 14 to 49 guests. Mostly five to seven cabins. Of those 45 yachts, 27 have six cabins, 11 have five, 6 have seven and 1 has four.
Toys. Toy lists vary a lot: LEGASEA has a plunge pool in her beach club and a chase boat, SOJO a waterslide and floating platforms, while NORTHWIND II lists kayaks, a paddleboard and snorkel gear.
Chartering a 50 metre yacht in Greece
Where you join. Most of the ten below are based in Athens or Piraeus; IMMERSIVE is based in Bodrum. We confirm the starting port for your yacht and dates when we quote.
The meltemi. From about mid-May to mid-September, the meltemi, a strong, dry north wind, blows across the Aegean and can reach force 7 to 8 (see the etesian winds). It is a common reason Cyclades plans change during the week. When it blows, captains may switch a Cyclades plan to the Saronic Gulf close to Athens, the Peloponnese coast or the Ionian on the west side.
VAT and expenses. The rates below are charter fees. Greek VAT is added for charters in Greece, and an Advance Provisioning Allowance is paid on top to cover fuel, food, drinks and berths, with any unspent balance returned. We set out the exact VAT and APA for your yacht and dates in the quote.

“16 Knots at Cruise”
PROMETHEUS I is a 147 ft (44.8 m) Heesen from 1998, refitted in 2023. With a listed 16 knot cruise and 21 knot top speed, she is the quickest of the nine yachts here that list a speed. She takes 12 guests in five cabins: a main-deck master, two VIP suites and two triple cabins.
She is based in Athens and cruises Greece. Rates run from €130,000 to €165,000 per week, plus expenses.
9. NORTHWIND II
“A 1966 Classic, Refitted”
NORTHWIND II is a 149.7 ft (45.6 m) Camper & Nicholsons from 1966, refitted in 2022. She takes 10 guests in five cabins, one double and four twins. Her listing describes a master cabin with two ensuite beds, 108 cm and 128 cm wide.
She is based in Athens and cruises Greece. Rates run from €98,000 to €110,000 per week, plus expenses.
8. KOKOMO NIGHTS
“A Jazz Lounge with a Piano”
KOKOMO NIGHTS is a 155.8 ft (47.5 m) Picchiotti from 1982, refitted in 2026. She takes 12 guests in six cabins, four doubles and two twins. She cruises at 10 knots.

A classic-style yacht in fresh, newly refit condition — full character, none of the wear. The jazz lounge is the standout: piano, a proper sit-down bar, and real atmosphere you don't find on many yachts anymore. The layout works well for two families sharing, and with a two-time Michelin chef onboard, the food is every bit as memorable as the setting.
7. INVADER
“A Lift to Every Deck, Sundeck Included”
INVADER is a 164 ft (50 m) Codecasa from 2000, refitted in 2019. She shares 164 ft with BARACUDA VALLETTA, and the tie-break on build year puts her one place below. Her lift serves every deck up to the sundeck, and she is wheelchair friendly, which our reviewer calls a genuine advantage at this size. She takes 12 guests in five cabins: a full-beam master on the main deck, two VIP suites and two twins with a Pullman berth each.
She is based in Athens, cruises Greece at 14 knots, and rates run from €200,000 to €225,000 per week, plus expenses.

She's especially easy for guests who want extra comfort: an elevator serves every deck, including the sundeck, and she's wheelchair friendly — a genuine advantage at this size. The master suite is a highlight, with a large en-suite, central jacuzzi, walk-in closet, and thoughtful touches like a lit mirror and jewelry storage.
6. BARACUDA VALLETTA
“The Sailing Yacht of the Class”
BARACUDA VALLETTA is a 164 ft (50 m) Perini Navi sailing yacht from 2009, refitted in 2024, and the only sailing yacht in this ten. Whether a meltemi day is a good sailing day or a day to change plans is the captain’s call. She has a 10.52 m beam and a clean, minimalist interior. She takes 10 guests in five cabins.
She is based in Athens and cruises Greece, Turkey and Croatia. Rates run from €185,000 to €210,000 per week, plus expenses.

5. LEGASEA
“New for 2025, with a Plunge Pool in the Beach Club”
LEGASEA is a 164 ft (50 m) ADA from 2025 with a Luca Dini interior. Both round to 50 metres, but her listed 164.04 ft is fractionally longer than BARACUDA VALLETTA’s 164 ft. Her beach club has a plunge pool and extendable hydraulic wings, there is a jacuzzi on the foredeck, and her listing includes a new 14 metre chase boat. The owner’s suite on the main deck has its own balcony and jacuzzi.
She takes 12 guests in six cabins and cruises Greece and Turkey. Rates run from €310,000 to €325,000 per week, plus expenses.
4. VERA
“A Sauna in the Master Suite”
VERA is a 170.6 ft (52 m) Abeking & Rasmussen from 2000, refitted in 2024, and her 10.3 m beam is the second widest listed here, after BARACUDA VALLETTA. Her main-deck master suite has his and hers bathrooms with a jacuzzi and a sauna, and there is a gym on board. The VIP and guest cabins have double beds that can be separated into twins.
She takes 12 guests in six cabins. She is based in Piraeus and cruises Greece, Turkey and Croatia. Rates run from €210,000 to €235,000 per week, plus expenses.
3. PEGASUS
“Three Twins with Pullman Berths”
PEGASUS is a 173 ft (52.7 m) Feadship from 1997, refitted in 2009. She takes 12 guests in six cabins: a main-deck master, two VIP suites and three twins, each twin with a Pullman berth.
She is based in Athens and cruises Greece, Turkey and Croatia. She is the one yacht here priced in US dollars: from $250,000 in April and May to $275,000 per week from June 1 to August 30, plus expenses.
2. SOJO
“Seven Cabins and a Waterslide”
SOJO is a 177.2 ft (54 m) Benetti from 1984, refitted in 2025. She takes 12 guests in seven cabins, level with IMMERSIVE for the most cabins on this list, and the master suite has its own spa jacuzzi. 1. IMMERSIVE
“55 Metres, 14 Guests, Based in Bodrum”
IMMERSIVE is a 181.8 ft (55.4 m) Turquoise from 2013, refitted in 2024, and the longest yacht on this list. She is listed for 14 guests in seven cabins, the only one of the ten whose spec table lists more than 12 guests. For any group over 12, we confirm guest numbers when we quote.
She cruises Greece and Turkey in summer. Rates run from €265,000 to €285,000 per week, plus expenses.
