A catamaran is the family boat in Greece by default: flat at anchor, nets on the bow, a swim platform at water level, and 2 hulls that keep the kids’ cabins away from the parents’. These 10 go further, with a toy kit sized for children, a cabin plan that works for one family or two, and crews who genuinely like having kids aboard.
Every boat here earned its slot on a fact, not a feeling: kids’ water skis on the toy list, a towable donut, a sailing dinghy to learn on, a convertible twin, a crew who have the toys out before the family steps aboard. We checked each one against her current rate card and crew list this week, and the boats we walked ourselves say so.

10. ALEXANDRA II
“The Towable Kit, Sized for Children”
ALEXANDRA II is the entry point to this list, for one family of up to 8 whose children live behind the tender. Her toy list reads like a water park: a 2-person banana, a 3-person towable bed, a donut, kids’ water skis next to the adult set, a wakeboard and 2 sea scooters.
She is a 2022 Fountaine Pajot 67 with a crew of 4 for 8 guests, a better ratio than most boats her size. The cabins run a master with a desk area and 3 queens, each with its own bathroom and a TV, so a family of 6 has a cabin spare.
A hydraulic swim platform lowers the toys to water level, and there is a jacuzzi on the foredeck for the parents. Her crew have won awards for their service, and the signature dinner is built around their own caviar.
9. HYDRUS
“5 Cabins for 2 Families, Under 31,000 Euros”
HYDRUS is the cheapest boat in Greece that sleeps 2 families in 5 cabins with a door and a bathroom each. Each set of parents takes a double, and the children get 3 cabins between them, 2 doubles and a twin, so no child shares a bed with a sibling who kicks.
She is a 2023 Lagoon 55 for 10 guests, and we walked her: robes and storage in every cabin, a master aft, 2 doubles forward, a double aft with its own deck entrance for the teenager who comes in late, and the twin amidships that converts when a couple takes it.
A crew of 3 with a chef run her. The toys are sized for children: kids’ water skis, 2 tubes, a wakeboard, paddleboards and the 2 SeaBobs the kids will fight over. She is the value pick, and her July and August rate is the one that sits above our Greek floor.
8. WHITE CAPS
“Toys Out Before the Family Steps Aboard”
WHITE CAPS has the crew we point young families to. They have the toys out and the welcome ready before the tender is tied, and they take a toddler off a parent’s hands so the parents get an hour to themselves. Our families come back talking about the crew before the islands.
She is a 2021 Lagoon 67 for 10 guests with a crew of 4, and her cabin plan is the family one: 4 doubles and a twin that converts, all with their own bathrooms. The twin is the kids’ room, or the grandparents’ room when 3 generations come.
The toy list names a wakeboard for adults and a wakeboard for kids, water skis, a tube, a SeaBob, 2 paddleboards and a kayak. She is based at Nea Peramos near Athens and cruises the Saronic and the Cyclades.
7. DOLLY
“An Ionian Crew and a Shelf of Board Games”
DOLLY is the boat for a family who want calm water. She lives in the Ionian, and when we visited her the crew told us they favor the protected, less crowded side of Greece, with Paxos as their top pick. Short hops and flat anchorages are what small children need.
She is a 2023 Fountaine Pajot 67 for 10 guests in a master and 4 queens, each with its own bathroom, with a crew of 4. The set-up is simple and tasteful, down to the little olive trees on deck and a Greek food display that gets it right.
The kit runs to kids’ water skis beside the adult set, a 3-person tube, a wakeboard, 2 SeaBobs, an e-foil and a kayak. Then the rainy-afternoon insurance: Uno, chess, Scrabble, backgammon, Trivial Pursuit, Harry Potter and Guess Who, all on the shelf.
6. HONEYMOON
“Kefalonia Start, Teens on the Tubes”
HONEYMOON is our Ionian pick for a family with teenagers. She starts in Kefalonia, so the week begins in the calm water rather than crossing to it, and the families we have sent her come back praising the condition of the boat and the warmth of the crew.
She is a 2025 Moon 65 sailing catamaran for 8 guests in 4 double cabins, each with its own bathroom, with a crew of 3. An optional chase boat with its own operator turns the tender queue into 2 tenders, which matters when 3 teenagers want 3 different beaches.
The toys cover the ages: kids’ water skis and adult skis, 2 tubes, a wakeboard and paddleboards. She also offers an all-inclusive rate that folds fuel, food, drinks and mooring into one number, which families like for the budgeting.
5. VALIUM 67
“A Crew of 4 on a Power Catamaran”
VALIUM 67 is the power catamaran on this list, and the boat for a family who want to see more of Greece in the week. She covers the Cyclades hops at twice a sailing cat’s pace, so the children spend the afternoon in the water rather than on passage.
She is a 2023 Lagoon 67 power cat for 10 guests in 4 queens and a convertible twin, all with their own bathrooms, run by a crew of 4. The chef is why our guests say they would rather eat aboard than ashore, and 2 of our brokers call her a family favorite.
The kit is sized down for kids: children’s water skis alongside the adult skis and a monoski, a tube, a wakeboard, a floating sofa and paddleboards. Based at Nea Peramos, she works Athens, the Saronic and the Cyclades.
4. ALOIA 80
“A Sailing Dinghy the Kids Learn On”
ALOIA 80 is the boat for a family who want the children to come home with a skill. Her toy list carries a TIWAL inflatable sailing dinghy, and a crew of 5 means a hand is always free to take a 9-year-old out on it while the parents stay in the foredeck jacuzzi.
She is a 2024 Fountaine Pajot 80 for 10 guests in a master and 4 queens, each with its own bathroom. The hydraulic swim platform lowers the whole playground to water level: 4 SeaBobs, 2 donuts, 2 wakeboards, water skis, 2 kayaks, 4 paddleboards and a 3-seat inflatable couch.
For the teenagers there are an e-foil, a wing foil and a jet surf, and life jackets come in adult and kids’ sizes. She is based in Athens and one of the newest 80-footers in the Greek fleet.
3. SOL MADININA
“The Fullest Kids’ Kit in Greece”
SOL MADININA carries more children’s kit than any other catamaran in Greece. The list names a kids’ wakeboard and a kids’ water ski next to the adult versions, 4 children’s life vests, 2 donuts, a 3-person inflatable sofa, an inflatable platform to jump off and a floating mat.
She is a 2025 Fountaine Pajot 80 for 10 guests with a crew of 5, and her cabins solve the 2-family plan: an owner’s suite with a bathtub, a VIP with a desk, and 3 queens, all with their own bathrooms. A beach club at the stern sits right over the water.
For the older ones there are 2 SeaBobs, an e-foil, a jet surf, a slalom ski and scuba gear for 4. A jet tender takes the whole family ashore at once, and there is a jacuzzi on the foredeck for the end of the day.
2. CHRISTAL MIO 80
“Two Families, 12 Beds, a Crew of 6”
CHRISTAL MIO 80 is the boat for 2 families who each want a real cabin. She takes 12 guests in a master and 5 queens, every one with its own bathroom, and a crew of 6 keeps the ratio at 1 crew for every 2 guests. That is superyacht service on a catamaran.
She is a brand-new 2026 Fountaine Pajot 80 power catamaran, so the Cyclades hops are short and the afternoons are long. Captain Theo and his crew have first-aid and dive tickets and a habit of buying the day’s fish straight from the local boats for the chef.
The kit runs to kids’ water skis, a banana, 3 tubes, an Infinity Island float, kids’ life vests, SeaBobs and paddleboards. The crew do not set up chairs on the beach, but they will pack a picnic, which is what children remember.
1. SERENISSIMA III
“Families Rebook Her Before the Week Ends”
SERENISSIMA III is our number one because families rebook her for the next summer before they have left the boat. The layout is why: open decks and a flybridge that hold a group of 10, and enough corners for a teenager to disappear with a book.
She is a 2024 Fountaine Pajot 80 for 10 guests in 2 kings and 3 queens, each with its own bathroom, and a crew of 5 who are the highlight of every review we hold on her. The game box holds chess, Uno, Jenga and painting for kids; sunscreen comes in a kids’ grade.
The toys cover every age: kids’ water skis, 2 tubes, 2 SeaBobs, 2 sea scooters, an e-foil, a stand-up jet ski, a wakeboard and 2 paddleboards, off a hydraulic swim platform. She is based in Athens and crosses to the Ionian on request.
