Ionian Yacht Charter

Top 10 Charter Yachts Based in the Ionian Islands 2026 (€30k-€68k)

More of our clients ask for the Ionian every year, and most are repeat Greek charterers. They have done the Cyclades, and now they want calm water, short hops, and a week they do not have to plan around the wind.

Most Greek yachts are based in Athens, so an Ionian week usually carries a relocation fee. Every yacht below skips it: each one has an Ionian home port on her own record, in Lefkas (Lefkada), Corfu or Kefalonia. The exception is SERENISSIMA III, who crosses from Athens, and her entry says so. Ranked by starting price, cheapest first.

Last updated: August 2026. Base ports verified against each yacht’s own record.

Broker insight

Most Greek charter yachts are based in Athens, so an Ionian week normally comes with a relocation fee on top. A fast motor yacht makes the run through the Corinth Canal in a day; on a catamaran you lose two. Skip all of it by starting with a yacht that already lives there. That is the test for this list: the home port on the yacht's own paperwork, not the cruising area on the listing.

10. HONEYMOON

HONEYMOON is based in the Ionian. Her summer home port is Kefalonia and Lefkada, printed on her own rate card, and she has run four charters for us out of there.

She is a Moon Yacht 65 catamaran delivered in 2025, sleeping eight guests in four en-suite doubles. What makes her work is the outdoor layout: a sun deck, an outdoor bar with an ice maker so drinks stay where the people are, a swim platform, and a deck shower. Starlink keeps everyone connected between islands, and the toy locker runs to a Seabob, sea scooters, paddleboards, kayaks, wakeboard and water skis for adults and children.

Our broker’s note from this July: my clients chartered HONEYMOON in the Ionian, a family trip with three young teens aboard, and came back full of praise for the condition of the yacht and above all the professionalism and warmth of the crew. Rates run €30,000 in the shoulder months and €41,000 in July and August.

9. MYMARIA

MYMARIA lives in Lefkas port, which puts her an hour from the best of the south Ionian on her first morning. We chartered her there in June 2026.

She is a brand-new Sunreef 60, delivered in 2025, and she is hard to beat for luxury at this money. Eight guests across four en-suite cabins, one master and three doubles. The flybridge carries a jacuzzi for four, the cockpit, skirts, deck and flybridge are all teak, and Starlink means a working week aboard is genuinely possible. Seabobs and paddleboards handle the water.

Our broker’s verdict after the charter: MYMARIA and her crew are a great match for a luxurious catamaran charter in the Ionian, a really good option for guests looking to elevate their time on the water. She is managed by Ionian Catamarans and runs Saturday to Saturday, so plan full weeks.

8. DOLLY

DOLLY is Ionian-based and takes ten guests, which is the combination clients ask for most often and the region supplies least.

She is a 2023 Fountaine Pajot 67, five en-suite cabins, one master and four queens, so no one in the group draws the short straw. The flybridge and forward cockpit give you separate places to sit rather than one crowded aft deck, and the hydraulic swim platform turns a swim stop into something you do repeatedly instead of once. There is a deck jacuzzi for the end of the day.

The toys are current rather than leftover: an E-foil, two Seabobs, and full snorkel and tow gear. For a group of ten wanting a modern catamaran in calm water without crossing €40,000, she is the strongest value on this list.

7. ARIVA

ARIVA is based in Corfu and cruises the Ionian all season. We put clients on her there in May 2026, and they left the crew a forty percent tip. In fifteen years of running charters we have seen that number a handful of times.

She is a 2023 Fountaine Pajot Power 67, ten guests in five double cabins, four crew. Being a power cat rather than a sailing cat matters here: you get the stability and deck space of a catamaran with the range to reach Zakynthos or Paxos in an afternoon rather than planning a whole day around the leg.

The forward deck carries a jacuzzi for two, the swim platform is hydraulic, and the toy list covers a Seabob, wakeboard, water skis, towables, two paddleboards, a kayak and a Highfield 460 tender with 60hp for runs ashore.

6. STELA 117

STELA 117 is based in Lefkas main port, and she is the answer to the question we field constantly: is there a crewed motor yacht actually based in the Ionian rather than relocating from Athens for a fee.

She is an 85 ft Royal Denship built in 2012 and refit in 2023. Eight guests across four cabins, and the layout is unusually good for a boat this size: the master has its own jacuzzi, the VIP is proper, and the two twins convert to doubles for a group that arrives in a different shape than you expected.

There is a second jacuzzi on the flybridge, two levels of open-air space, and a swim platform. Toys run to a Sea-Doo Spark jet ski, a Seabob, wakeboard, water skis and snorkel gear. She scores 4.9 across 138 guest ratings, level with the best on this list.

5. LA FENICE

LA FENICE is based at Marina Gouvia in Corfu, which makes her the natural pick for anyone flying into Corfu and wanting to be aboard the same afternoon.

She is an 88 ft Azimut built in 2006 and refit in 2020, and she takes ten guests across five en-suite cabins: three doubles and two twins. That twin capacity is worth noting, because most Ionian boats at this size sleep ten only by putting couples together. Families with older children are the group she suits best.

On deck there is a jacuzzi, proper outdoor dining and a swim platform. Inside, every cabin has its own home cinema, with SONOS audio and an underwater camera. Toys include a standup jet ski, two Seabob F5s, paddleboards and water skis for adults and children.

4. GIA SENA

GIA SENA is based in Corfu and cruises the Ionian through the season. She is a Princess 85, built in 2009 and refit in 2019, and she is the most polished of the motor yachts on this list.

Eight guests in four en-suite cabins. The flybridge is the whole argument for her: a deck jacuzzi, sunpads, and shaded dining under a hardtop, so a group of eight can rotate between soaking, eating and sleeping without negotiating for space. She carries stabilizers that work at anchor, which is the detail that decides whether dinner and sleep are comfortable on a breezy night.

A Yamaha GP1800 jet ski handles the fast half of the day and the swim platform handles the rest. BOSE audio runs through the outdoor areas, saloon and master. She rates 4.9 across 163 guest ratings.

3. YCH2

YCH2 is based in Corfu and she is the only real sailing yacht on this list, which is the point of including her. The Ionian has the steadiest, most predictable breeze in Greece, and almost nobody puts a proper performance boat in it.

She is a Nautor’s Swan 90S from 2009, refit in 2023, with a German Frers interior. Six guests, or eight when two are children. The Swan 90S deck plan runs one cockpit from the saloon door back to the helm with no bridge deck between, so the outdoor space actually feels like one room rather than two halves.

Forward sun pads, built-in seating with retractable shade, a Williams jet tender for runs ashore, and scuba equipment aboard rather than arranged onshore. For a couple or a family who want to sail rather than motor between anchorages, there is nothing else like her on this list.

2. SERENISSIMA III

SERENISSIMA III runs out of Marina Nea Peramos near Athens and crosses for Ionian charters. We put a group of ten on her in the Ionian this July, and they have already booked their return for 2027.

She is a 2024 Fountaine Pajot Thira 80, ten guests in five double cabins, five crew. The deck plan is the best on this list: a flybridge for lounging and dining, a forward cockpit with a jacuzzi, and two side cockpits with opening wings. The practical effect is that ten people are never in each other’s way.

Our broker’s note: the captain and crew were the highlight of the week, and the toys kept the whole group entertained at anchor. Those toys are an Audi E-foil, a jet ski, two Seabobs and two sea scooters, with Starlink throughout. That week came to €107,525 all in.

1. FUNKY CHOICE

FUNKY CHOICE lists the Ionian Islands as her home port, and at €68,000 a week she is the most expensive yacht we list with an Ionian base. Delivered in 2025, 88 ft.

Eight guests in four en-suite cabins, two of them full masters with king beds, which is a configuration you almost never see at this size. It suits two couples travelling together, or one family that wants a second cabin of the same standard rather than a hierarchy of berths.

She carries a 9 m Storm chase tender with twin 300hp engines, which changes how a week works: the group can reach a beach or a taverna without repositioning the mother ship for every move. Two jet skis, a Seabob, a jacuzzi and full snorkel and fishing gear cover the rest. If you want the top of the Ionian-based market, she is it.
