Broker insight
Real crewed motor yachting in Greece usually starts north of 60,000 euros a week, which is exactly why this list exists: these ten are the exceptions that deliver the full experience below that line. Proven hulls from 35,500 to 59,900 euros, crews we know personally, refits we have checked ourselves. The trade is simple: you usually get a well-kept older boat instead of a new build, and the crew makes the week. If you want to step into crewed motor yachting without the full-luxury budget, these ten are the ones we would put our own name on.

10. TAKA
Motor Yacht TAKA is one of the most interesting yachts we’ve seen at the Poros yacht show.
Totally unique: Built in 1976, she has a classic 70s style, wood, tiles, retro color scheme, funky art, and a crew of 5 that’s been together forever.
Captain Zafiris Mammis has been onboard 25 years, and it shows.
Big plus: fully set up for mobility needs. Chairlift, proper tender, and real hands-on experience helping disabled guests. That makes a huge difference. Great for an older couple or anyone into vintage style and serious service.
9. MYTHOS G
Fresh from a full 2021 refit, MYTHOS G is a fast and stylish 26 m motor yacht that’s ideal for island-hopping around Greece.
New owner, new crew, and everything onboard, from fabrics to entertainment systems, has been updated. She’s light, comfortable, and eco-conscious, with a no-plastic approach and products from a Greek organic brand.
The flybridge is great for shaded lunches, and there’s a full water toy lineup including 2 jet skis, Seabobs, and more.
With room for 8+2 guests, a separate master suite, and a friendly crew who throw a Greek night with BBQ and souvlaki, she’s one of our go-to mid-range picks for a fun, relaxed yacht charter in Greece.
8. KARMA
We were onboard KARMA again at the MEDYS Yacht Show in Nafplion.
The value for money is unbelievable; she charters from €38,500 a week with 6 crew. This is very rare!
Her chef brings 12 years of experience in the galley, and the crew puts real care into every meal.
KARMA is an older yacht but is in excellent condition. An advantage of her age is the size of her cabins: the VIP is equivalent to the Master Cabin.
The interior is tasteful and classic, and the crew truly succeeds in creating a homely atmosphere.
KARMA is a perfect yacht and crew for the Cyclades and Saronic Islands – a true Greek odyssey.
7. ERA A
ERA A is the value pick for a full group. She takes 12 guests in five cabins, with a crew of seven, and that is a lot of yacht for the money.
She is a classic 104-foot Cantieri di Pisa, and her style is traditional and nautical but kept minimalist. The interior is bright, all white and elegant. We were on board at the yacht show in Athens, and that brightness is what stays with you. The master cabin also has a sofa bed, which helps families.
Outside, the flybridge has a shaded dining area, so lunch at anchor stays cool. A jet ski, a Seabob, two canoes and a paddleboard keep the swim stops busy, and the tender has a 60 hp engine for longer beach runs. If you want the most guests for the least money, this is where we start.
6. GEMAYA
GEMAYA is the yacht for groups who want character and a boat built for wind. She started life as a navy minelayer and was rebuilt as a 108-foot motor yacht for 12 guests.
That steel hull, with stabilizers at anchor and underway, handles the Aegean wind with ease. If you are set on reaching Santorini in August, she is a sound choice. Our team has been on board, and her layout is genuinely one of a kind. Our walkthrough on YouTube tells the full rebuild story.
Her high bow shelters the bow jacuzzi from the wind, so it stays comfortable on breezy days. An astronomical telescope on board turns quiet nights at anchor into stargazing sessions. Six crew look after 12 guests, and the toys include a Seabob, sea scooters, water skis and a wakeboard. She is our pick for guests who like unusual boats with real presence.
5. SUMMER FUN
Onboard SUMMER FUN in Nafplion.
A very popular option for 12 guests in Greece. Why? Because she ticks a lot of boxes, she has 6 cabins (rare for this size) and 7 crew, making her a great value and unique package for a common demand. This also means that she must be reserved early!
One of the double cabins is located on the main deck. It is referred to as ‘the playroom’ and comes with a PlayStation, big screen, and separate toilet and shower room.
Her charter style is reflected in her name: “Summer Fun” – she’s got a great selection of water toys, including jet ski.
We recommend SUMMER FUN for a busy itinerary with a focus on packing a lot of action and moving swiftly between locations. The yacht is based in Athens. Please inquire to arrange a delivery or pickup in a different location
4. AKASTI
AKASTI is the newest yacht on this list, an 88-foot Sanlorenzo built in 2024. She suits couples and groups of up to eight who care more about food and service than headcount.
We have been on board twice, and both times the welcome stood out: a ginger shot and freshly baked bread as you step aboard. The chef bakes twice a day, and the galley at the bow turns into a social spot. Guests often end up chatting with the chef by day two. Linens and toiletries are top quality, and stewardess Alina makes you feel at home.
The master sits aft, the quietest spot underway, and her stabilizers work at anchor and underway. Up top, the flybridge hardtop opens for stargazing. The toys include an e-foil, two Seabobs and a towable sofa. For a small group, she is the most polished boat here.
3. PROJECT STEEL
We have booked PROJECT STEEL many times before, and we will do it again! She is a great yacht-and-captain package!
One of the main advantages of this motor yacht is its low fuel consumption. 130 liters per hour compared to 400-600 l/hour yachts, especially great for longer distances, for example, a Cycladic itinerary including Mykonos or Santorini.
Captain Evangelos used to be the captain of the Sunreef catamaran ABOVE & BEYOND. He is very experienced and has amazing knowledge of all of Greece, including great itineraries and where to find the best fresh fish directly from fishermen. He loves showing his guests “the secret Greece”. His favorite spots are Spetses, Nusa, Sifnos, Milos, Monemvasia, and the Peloponnese mainland.
Two twin cabins with extra Pullman beds. The interior is black and white and minimalistic, no fluff.
No waste food – check out the menu based on one fish – head to tail. Glass bottles only, strict recycling! Great to see a yacht that truly cares about it – Captain used to be on Rainbow Warrior for Greenpeace.
2. SANJANA
SANJANA is the boat we suggest when a group wants real space and a captain who knows every anchorage. Captain Konstantinos has run her for well over a decade, and it shows in how calmly the week flows.
She is a 107-foot Mondomarine, refitted in 2016, and her beam is unusually wide for her length. That width makes her feel roomy at anchor and steady underway. The master has one of the largest en-suite bathrooms and showers we have seen on a yacht this size. Two guest cabins pair a double bed with a single, so a tenth guest fits without anyone squeezing in.
The toy list is long for the price: a Sea-Doo jet ski, a wakeboard, a kneeboard, water skis for adults and kids, two paddleboards and a banana. She sits near the top of our list because she gives you big-yacht space with a captain you can trust.
1. IDYLLE
IDYLLE is the yacht we suggest for a group that wants a classic big yacht and a lively week. She is a 120-foot Benetti from 1996, refitted in 2024, and she gives you a lot of yacht for the money.
We have been on board, and she is in very fine condition while keeping her classic look. The interior is genuinely charming. Five cabins and a crew of seven make her easy for a family or a group of friends. Her captain calls her a family boat, with plenty of water sports, and says he has the best crew.
The fun bonus is the music. When we filmed her, one of the deckhands was a professional DJ, with a full turntable set-up and serious speakers for sundeck parties. In our walkthrough, her captain talks about finding quiet islands like little Schinoussa, his favorite. She tops our list for value and good times.
