YQUEM is what happens when a serious sailing platform gets dressed up as a private members’ club and then quietly keeps the bathtub. A 31.7m Tripp Design performance sloop, she delivers genuine sailing feel with the comfort of a composite bluewater cruiser and a range of around 1,900nm for long, lazy passages.
Real hook: four double cabins, all en-suite, zero compromise. No bunks, no “kids-only” cave. Eight guests get proper double beds and natural light via skylights. The master suite adds a full bathtub and shower, which is rare on a 104ft sailing yacht and makes long trips, families and workcations much easier to tolerate.
Deck life is set up for actually using the boat, not just photographing it. The protected aft cockpit runs C-shaped sofas and a large folding table for real-world alfresco dinners, with a bimini for shade when the UV index goes cyberpunk. Broad sunbeds sit aft for off-watch horizontal mode, while a proper swim platform and ladder give clean access to the water and toys.
Refit story: older hull, new brain. Built in 1992 by Windship/Trident and refitted in 2021, YQUEM has updated rigging, refreshed interiors (new upholstery, panels, artwork, linens) and modern comforts like full air-conditioning and Wi‑Fi. Translation: classic sailing DNA, current software.
Toy department is human-sized, not theme-park. Expect paddleboards (x4), wakeboard, adult and kids’ water skis, towables, inflatable lounges, hammock, beach games and snorkel gear. Enough to keep a mixed group moving without turning the deck into a rental shop.
Crew and food are part of the value stack. A captain who lives on the water, an active deckhand, and a chef with a menu that runs from bouillabaisse-style seafood to Caribbean snapper and New Orleans gumbo. If you care more about what’s on the plate than what’s on Instagram, this matters.
Net result: YQUEM is for clients who actually want to sail, sleep in real beds, soak in a bathtub at sea, and eat serious food—without paying for features they’ll never use, like a helipad or nightclub lighting.
Accommodation
Built by Windship Trident in 1992 and with an interior refit and new rigging in 2021, at 31.7m, S/Y Yquem (ex Elton, Lunar Mist, Cinderella II) offers charter guests a spacious and stylish approach to sailing. During the refit the mast was taken down and fully restored and the interior received all new upholstery, new panelling, new art work and new linens and finishings, giving her a fresh and contemporary look. The vessel’s sophisticated exterior design and engineering are the work of Tripp Design, while her timeless interior is the work of renowned superyacht designer Donald Starkey.
She accommodates up to 8 guests overnight with 3 crew members to ensure guests have an exquisitely comfortable and luxurious experience. A top speed of 12.5 knots and a cruising speed of 9 knots ensure relaxed sailing and excellent performance on the water.
The aft deck serves as the perfect place for guests to unwind in the sun, with an optional Bimini when shade is required. There are C-shaped sofas either side and a large table for alfresco group dining and cocktails on an evening. The stern leads down to the swim platform, where the swim ladder grants easy access to the ocean.
All cabins are en-suite and have a double bed, plenty of wardrobe space and a skylight for plenty of natural illumination. The Master en-suite has a bathtub and shower, plus a vanity and head. The other en-suite bathrooms all feature a vanity, head and shower.
Expect a true taste of sailing in optimum comfort.

Price Terms
Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see
Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).
All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.
The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).
For a sailboat like Yquem, the expected APA is 15% to 30% of the charter price (€4,500 - €9,000), making the charter cost €34,500 to €39,000. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.
You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).
The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.
