Broker Review
Onboard visit
A power cat that feels like it was designed by someone who actually understands how people want to live onboard. The layout just works — spacious interior, a shaded flybridge with proper lounging and an outdoor grill, forward trampolines, and a deck shower for rinsing off after a swim. The water sports program stands out too: the deckhand is a trained instructor in kitesurfing, paddleboarding, and sea kayaking. A strong toy selection and real value for money make this an easy recommend.

Charter Broker William McNally: It's one of the most famous types of this boat that Lagoon ever made, the proud jewel of the company. I say it's like the holiday or the vacation that just keeps on giving because there's so many experiences in one. This boat, first of all, was built 2016 by Lagoon Power Boat. It was privately owned before, and you will see that the boat since then, it has very, very few refits in general. But the condition, I will understand that you will see that it's perfect. You will see our teak, it's the original teak from 2016. Yes, of course, all around and upstairs also. The master cabin, you will see that it's huge. It has the space of two rooms. This is why the master cabin is the reason why there is not one extra cabin, so you can go up to 10 people. They designed it like this. Well, this is one of the reasons why guests fight on the boat, you know, who's going to get the master cabin. Go up to 10.5 knots of cruising speed. I mean, you can go even more than that, but cruising speed is about 10.5 knots. Yes, yes, yes. We have 5,000 liters of fuel because this is the extended edition of Lagoon, so you have enough fuel, you have a bigger range. Oh yeah, you can even cross the Atlantic with 5,000 liters. Yes, of course. With a boat, you can visit more places than while you are in the resort. Because in the resort, you are, okay, okay, I don't know how you are planning your vacation, but most of the people, they go five, six days one place, seven another five days, they go to another place. When you are on the boat, you can visit at least five islands. Once they step on board, the bags are unpacked, all their belongings are there in the cabin. They have this floating, like, five-star hotel with this service, beautiful meals, everything catered for. And they can, however long the charter is, whether it's 7 days, 10 days, 14 days, there's enough islands to go and see, and every day is a different experience. So you're like, you're just moving around. You don't have to pack your bags, you don't have to take other public transport to ferries waiting. You've got not just the crew for making the meals, you also have like the captain for the experience of where to go. I'm always stressing that with clients is to have ideas of what they want to do, but also let the crew take you on an adventure, and they're not going to regret 100%. Yes, you should definitely consider like looking at your options one year before, to be honest, to have the best chance of booking the boat that you want for the dates that you want. You know, certainly a year in advance is not, is not too early.

Transcript — PEARLY GATES: A walkthrough with the captain
>> And then how many, how many guests do you accommodate in total?
Eight guests, eight guests, four double cabins.
>> Four double cabins. And this is the master cabin, yeah?
This is the master cabin, yeah.
>> Okay. So we can go, we can have a look.
My wife and I used to work on a Lagoon 62 for many, for many years, yeah.
>> Then you know what I'm saying.
It's more or less the same layout, yeah, which is the same. Maybe the kitchen was down, I don't know.
>> No, we had, we had the kitchen up as well, yeah.
So it's exactly the same then.
Yeah, this is the power, power version. I was on a sailing, sailing catamaran.
>> Yeah.
The only difference is on the flybridge when we go up or down to see. I was working two, three years ago in a 62.
>> A 62 sailing, yeah? Mhm. That's beautiful. So there's a carpet in every cabin?
Yes.
>> Yeah. Mhm.
And this is also different. This we added this here because it's very carefully cuts the view to the kitchen and it helps to have a little bit of extra storage over here.
>> Extra space for the, for the chef, yeah.
But also nice for the chef to be up here. It's very interactive with the client, you know, when you serve the food you can right away see the reaction and yeah. And then also the client can come and see what's happening.
>> You have the kitchen up here.
Yeah.
>> But it takes a little bit more effort from the chef to keep everything in.
Everything clean, yeah, absolutely.
>> And then down here we have one cabin.
So this is port aft, yeah?
Yes.
>> And this you can open up.
You can open it.
>> You have a possibility of going out.
Yeah.
>> And also here to make it dark, privacy shades.
These are the bunk beds we are using.
>> This is the, the crew cabin, yeah? Okay. And do you sometimes alternate with a guest if they said, "Hey, we have two kids. They maybe need the bunk beds." If you have enough time between charters, would you be willing to change cabins or?
It's three of us.
>> It's three of you, yeah.
We are three.
>> Oh, okay. So.
And two sleep here. One we are using for the third person.
>> Yeah.
And the skipper cabin is in front. The other we use for storage.
>> Oh, okay. So you are three singles on the boat. You, you are not a couple with the two children.
Oh, yeah. Okay.
>> Yeah. Perfect.
If it's necessary, we could talk about it. Yeah. Okay.
And uh, starboard side.
I think in the size range of the Lagoon 62 or the size range in general, it's a very spacious boat.
>> Yes, it is.
Yeah. Very comfortable.
>> Comfortable for the guest, for the people. Storage areas, there are many here.
And do you have a two generators or one generator?
One generator.
>> Which is here. Okay.
We have a new one, brand new one, which we bought.
>> Yeah.
To install in this boat.
>> Okay.
The thing is that it came last week. So, I don't know if we are going to have the time to put it. We have it in a container in Lavrio in our facilities. We will see what we are going to do about.
>> And what is your cruising speed when you are cruising?
It's about 11 miles.
>> Yeah?
11, 11.5 miles.
>> Okay.
300 horsepower each.
>> Okay. And the, and the fuel consumption per hour roughly?
2,200 rpm with 10, 10.2 is three liters per mile.
>> Okay.
If you go a little bit higher, it's about four, four and a half liters per mile.
>> Per mile, yeah. Mhm.
Now, if you want to do 14, which you can, the consumption goes up.
>> It will go up, yeah.
But okay, it's not uh, you are not taking this boat to go.
>> Yeah, it's not a, it's not a racing boat, but it's power catamaran to get from A to B a little bit faster.
It is a little bit faster. It's right there.
>> It's a good combination out of when I have this size uh motor yacht, I tend to put my clients on something like this because you have the engines, you have the speed, and you have the luxury of a, of a catamaran.
Yes.
>> But then again, you have a low fuel consumption.
Yes.
>> Compared to some of the 60 or 80 foot power cats. You know, and as, as it is a catamaran, you have.
For the 62 foot, it feels like a 90 foot motorboat.
>> It's really big.
Yeah.
>> The volume.
And this is the main difference with the 62. Because the 62 you have like this up to here and then here you have the mast.
>> You have the winches, you have the ropes.
Yeah.
>> And it's only one cushion in the middle if you remember.
Correct, yeah.
>> And then you have the boom here. So it, it's.
And so here you have the sun lounging area with a retractable roof.
Yes, yes, yes.
>> Okay.
That opens.
>> We have these sides, we have enclosure if needed.
Yeah. Mhm.
>> It's a wet bar here. It's not, we have a barbecue down. Here it's just storage.
Storage and a fridge.
>> Small fridge, yes.
Okay.
>> But the clients tend to come up here for the evenings for cocktails, hang out. They like to have dinner up here.
Dinner up here?
>> It's nice.
Yeah.
>> It's very nice.
They spend a lot of time in the cushions right here.
>> Yeah.
And then in front of the boat at the bow.
And you have the music sound system all around the boat. Yeah.
>> Except from the bow, yes, there's music everywhere.
Okay.
>> For this I have one uh Bluetooth speaker.
Okay, so they can connect their telephones and take it.
Okay, nice. Nice seating area.
And for the water sports you have the.
I have these.
>> The.
I have two SUPs and one kayak. I don't have them now on the boat. I have all the new ones. They are not here still here. And one Seabob, water ski, wakeboard.
>> Mhm.
A big dinghy, you saw that in the back with an 80 horsepower engine.
>> Okay, yeah.
And additional upon request, we can have more things if.
>> If needed, yeah. We can rent them. Yeah.
How long does it take to recharge a Seabob when it's completely empty?
>> You have the fast charger?
Uh.
>> I don't know if it's fast or not.
Yeah.
That's okay. It's the, it's a little one.
>> Okay, but it's about two.
We usually do, we charge it over the night.
>> Yeah.
Every night we.
>> But normally it lasts for the day where the kids are playing with it.
Yeah.
>> No, it lasts. Actually, I never had a problem with the battery of.
Okay.
>> Because some things that they are using it too much.
Yeah. Okay. Excellent.
Thank you.
>> Thank you very much.
Thank you for your time. Beautiful yacht.
Absolutely, yeah.
