Dive boat, not “has a couple of snorkel sets” boat. Onboard compressor, full PADI course capability up to Advanced and specialties, proper gear for multiple divers and a captain who’s a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer. Translation: you can arrive uncertified and leave with a card, or show up advanced and still not get bored.
Serious cat comfort for six. Three generous double cabins plus a smart adjoining kids/young adult space give you proper volume for up to 6 guests, without the bunk‑bed hostel vibe. Headroom is over 2m, each double cabin has its own A/C control and Dyson toys, and the master gets a big bathroom with double sinks and a safe.
Food is not an afterthought. Your captain comes from a family of Italian restaurateurs and runs the galley like it matters: regionally focused menus, olive‑oil and cheese tastings, and the sort of plated meals that make going ashore for dinner feel optional rather than necessary.
Catamaran = usage of deck space unlocked. Wide, stable platforms, two big swim steps and a serious turbo‑jet tender get you in and out of the water efficiently. Then add kayaks, SUPs, windsurfers, tow toys, snorkel gear, underwater cameras and GoPro – this is basically a small, organized watersports warehouse on a 2010/2018‑refit hull.
Why charter OMBRE BLU³ instead of another 70’ cat: because this one combines a legal, fully equipped dive operation, a highly qualified owner‑operator couple, and a proven Sunreef platform optimised around being in the water, under it, and then eating very well afterwards. If your trip brief includes “dive a lot, play a lot, sleep well, eat better,” you’re in the right tab.
Accommodation
The yacht is accommodating up to 6 guests maximum as follows:Starboard side aft: the MASTER CABIN with a double bed (165x200cm), desk/beauty table, armchair, a huge cupboard space and bathroom with double sink, separate shower and toilet.
On the forward starboard: the GUESTS CABIN is equipped with a bed 165 x 200 cm and an huge open rain shower on teak flooring.
Portside: 1the DOUBLE CABIN (bed size 165x185cm).
A bonus is the 2 adjoining cabins on the port forward side, where the bathroom is accessible via the main double cabin.
The connected twin bed cabin solution entails a sofa and beauty table (which operates as a suite when the area is used for one couple) and a single fold-up bed (which forms a bunk-bed), which is perfect to accommodate children or young adults in a family share situation.
The cabin roofs are over 2 metres in height.
Th double cabins are equipped with Dyson hairdryer, Dyson fan and private A/C control.
The master cabin is also equipped with a safe.
Independent crew cabin with separate entrance.

Price Terms
Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see
Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).
All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.
The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).
For a sailing catamaran like OMBRE BLU3, the expected APA is 20% to 35% of the charter price (€7,000 - €12,250), making the charter cost €42,000 to €47,250. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.
You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).
The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.

He grew up between Venice and the Aeolian Islands, so every stop, course, and wine pairing lands with local intent, not guesswork.

Melissa choreographs the trip so it runs smooth and human—tight logistics, soft-touch service, and pro-grade massage that resets you between swims and sails. She folds Australian sailing grit into Italian hospitality, turning breakfasts, bakes, and table settings into quiet little events.

My one regret is that we didn’t go further to the Pontine Islands to avoid the crowds (mostly American) but happy to see the Amalfi Coast from the comfort of a boat vs. crowded hotel.
