OMBRE BLU³ is basically a floating PADI dive centre with a serious chef problem. If you want a charter that’s about actual experiences rather than just pretty cushions, this 68ft Sunreef catamaran is engineered for that.
Core concept: small group (up to 6 guests), big capability. She’s a wide, stable platform with two large swim decks, a powerful jet tender and a full wall of toys: kayaks, SUPs, windsurfers, wakeboard, skis, tube, snorkelling kit for adults and kids, underwater camera and GoPro. Getting in and out of the water is easy; staying out of it is the hard part.
Diving is not an afterthought here. OMBRE BLU³ is an official PADI Dive Centre, with compressor, tanks, BCDs, regs and a Captain who is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer. You can do everything from Discover Scuba to full Open Water or Advanced courses on board and walk off the boat with a certification, not just a sunburn.
Then there’s the food. The Italian-Australian owner-operators are both professional captains; one of them is also a highly trained chef from a restaurant family. The result: structured, regional menus, serious olive oil and wine knowledge, and plated meals that look suspiciously like the reason guests come back.
Cabins are built for adults, not afterthoughts. Three generous double cabins, all with over 2m headroom, proper showers (one with a large open rain shower on teak), individual A/C, Dyson fans and Dyson hairdryers. The master adds a double-sink bathroom and safe. There’s also a clever adjoining “family suite” option for kids or teens.
Tech and comfort are current, not nostalgic. Starlink internet with unlimited data, full multimedia system (Sky, Netflix, Apple connectivity, Bluetooth speakers), modern A/C and a 2018 refit keeping the yacht’s 2010 build very much in the present tense.
If your charter brief reads something like “serious water time, real diving, real food, quiet luxury, no circus,” OMBRE BLU³ is built for that exact use case.
Accommodation
The yacht is accommodating up to 6 guests maximum as follows:Starboard side aft: the MASTER CABIN with a double bed (165x200cm), desk/beauty table, armchair, a huge cupboard space and bathroom with double sink, separate shower and toilet.
On the forward starboard: the GUESTS CABIN is equipped with a bed 165 x 200 cm and an huge open rain shower on teak flooring.
Portside: 1the DOUBLE CABIN (bed size 165x185cm).
A bonus is the 2 adjoining cabins on the port forward side, where the bathroom is accessible via the main double cabin.
The connected twin bed cabin solution entails a sofa and beauty table (which operates as a suite when the area is used for one couple) and a single fold-up bed (which forms a bunk-bed), which is perfect to accommodate children or young adults in a family share situation.
The cabin roofs are over 2 metres in height.
Th double cabins are equipped with Dyson hairdryer, Dyson fan and private A/C control.
The master cabin is also equipped with a safe.
Independent crew cabin with separate entrance.

Price Terms
Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see
Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).
All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.
The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).
For a sailing catamaran like OMBRE BLU3, the expected APA is 20% to 35% of the charter price (€7,000 - €12,250), making the charter cost €42,000 to €47,250. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.
You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).
The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.

My one regret is that we didn’t go further to the Pontine Islands to avoid the crowds (mostly American) but happy to see the Amalfi Coast from the comfort of a boat vs. crowded hotel.
