Moonlight: A Luxury Power Catamaran Charter in Greece
A charter broker interviews the captain of Moonlight, a 60-foot luxury power catamaran, discussing its design, amenities, and the guest experience.
This is the biggest flybridge you can find on a 60-footer in the world. Only Sunreef 80s have a bigger flybridge than this.

Transcript — Moonlight: A Luxury Power Catamaran Charter in Greece
Captain: This is the biggest flybridge you can find on a 60-footer in the world. Only Sunreef 80s have a bigger flybridge than this, a lot higher. And imagine this is a bigger boat, right? Yeah, yeah. It's heavy enough that you don't move a lot, you know, being always comfortable. It's like having a very luxurious villa with very, very expensive surfaces and very expensive kind of cabins. Working on Moonlight, first of all, is kind of experience even for the personnel on the boat. It's a totally new boat. This is number two of the shipyard. We're getting new experience, new designs. We designed this with composite marble for reasons like it's unstainable, unscratchable, and unbreakable. Right now, Moon Yacht is keeping this design for every yacht they're making. They loved it, they're using it, and I think it's beautiful too. Yeah, we got five cabins. The entrance of the fifth one is outside. We're going to see the master cabin first, of course. It's more spacious than the rest of the cabins, but all the appliances that you see in this cabin, we have it in all cabins. And of course, the bed sizes are the same everywhere so that we don't have, you know, people being disappointed. Because a nice feature, we have a lot of American clients. Of course, we had families, we had people that just wanted to have fun. The hardest thing in our job, and I think we do it perfectly, is adjusting. So you always adjust to the preferences and to the clients that you have on the boat. This is a VIP, we call it. Yeah, yeah, because it's a little bit smaller. So you offer it like a VIP. They designed it like this so they can have, you know, two, let's say, big cabins on the brochure, or like two families. Yes, exactly. Parents of, exactly, exactly. I like the wood. The wood, yeah, I know, I know. The design, I think, is perfect. I know we are producing perfect water on the boat, 0 something percent of salt. We're using that water also to wash our boat so that we can avoid rust, you know, on our inox surfaces and stuff. We have the generator on the side that the crew cabin is, so that we don't have noise anywhere. Completely silence, to be honest. Broker: Interesting size difference on the bow, right? They almost compromised a bit on the bow to have a larger saloon as well as a larger... Captain: They wanted more square feet on the inside of the boat because the front, we have a huge flybridge, so they thought that it's okay to have, you know, a smaller front. You don't have a trampoline, so I mean, there's still enough space to do some exercise or stand around. So, imagine that 99% of the time we have the people being on the boat, they spend it up there. Of course, I would. You got the view. Yes, you got the view. You have huge space outside, bar station. So there was no reason, you know, to limit the inside of the boat. There was no reason for it. You could make the cabins as big as possible and very spacious. Sidewalks. The best thing we have to offer is view watching things around while you're moving around because you are always close to shore and you can always check the place out. Broker: It's a new design. I think they've really made an improvement from really early on. So I think what they've done is they've used the previous design of the Sunreef and just made it better, a little bit more luxurious. So yeah, she's a beautiful boat. The flybridge is really impressive. The two large cabins, so the master and the VIP on the catamaran, or sailing catamaran, is a really nice feature. The onboard cocktail maker, mixologist, he's really awesome. And then, you know, the captain's going to keep you safe and take you to the places you want to go to. So yeah, Moonlight, here we come.
