Codecasa Yacht Charter in Greece 2026: The 5 Codecasas We List, Ranked by Size

Last updated: September 2026

Codecasa is an Italian family shipyard from Viareggio. Five of its motor yachts are listed on this site for charter in Greece, and two more on our sister site. This page ranks the five, from 138 to 214 feet (42 to 65.2 metres). The count runs from #5, the smallest, up to #1, the biggest, by the length on each yacht’s listing. Starting rates range from €110,000 per week (ABILITY) to €290,000 per week (ISABELL); JOIA THE CROWN JEWEL is priced in dollars, from $420,000 per week, as listed in September 2026.

ABILITY, XANA and INVADER list Athens as their base. ISABELL and JOIA THE CROWN JEWEL list Greece as one of several Mediterranean cruising areas. Two more Codecasas that cruise Greek waters follow the countdown: BOJI, the newest (2022), and OKTANA.

What makes a Codecasa

Codecasa goes back to 1825, when Giovanni Battista Codecasa began working as a shipwright in Viareggio, on the Tuscan coast. The family opened its own yard in 1902 and has built luxury motor yachts since 1973; it is still run by the founder’s heirs and marked 200 years in 2025. Today it builds steel and light-alloy motor yachts from 30 to 70 metres, plus an all-aluminium range of faster yachts from 35 to 50 metres. Three of the Codecasas we list name the Della Role design house on their listings: JOIA THE CROWN JEWEL, INVADER and ABILITY.

The five here were built over 20 years, from ISABELL (1990) to JOIA THE CROWN JEWEL (2010), and all five have had a refit, from INVADER’s in 2019 to XANA’s in 2021 and the other three in 2023. For Greece, the summer wind matters. The meltemi, the dry north wind of the Aegean, blows from about mid-May to mid-September, is strongest in the afternoon and can reach force 7 to 8, so ask us which anchorages suit your week.

5. ABILITY

“A Striking Interior After Her 2023 Refit”

ABILITY is a 137.8 foot (42 m) Codecasa built in 2007 and refitted in 2023, with the hull and superstructure repainted in 2025. She is based in Athens and cruises Greece. Her listing gives a cruising speed of 18 knots and a top speed of 30, the quickest of the five. She takes 11 guests in 5 cabins with a crew of 8. Her listing gives a low draft of around 1.4 to 1.5 metres, so she can get closer into shallow bays and coves than many yachts her size. A jet tender, a Sea-Doo and a Seabob F5S cover the water time. Rates run from €110,000 to €125,000 per week, plus APA. Klara walked her at MEDYS: read the full BOJI review.

A New England beach-house feel with real attention to detail, a buttercup-yellow deck, a projector for movie and karaoke nights, and a beam so generous it holds the widest twin beds and roomiest master you'll find on a yacht this size…

Beautifully refitted with a crisp new exterior paint job and teak deck, she looks flawless inside and out. A classic, traditional-nautical style for guests who love timeless sea tradition…

What a Codecasa charter in Greece costs

All five charter on plus-expenses terms, and the rates cover the boat and crew only, without the crew tip. On top of the rate you pay an advance provisioning allowance (APA), a deposit that covers running costs such as fuel, food and drinks during the week, plus VAT. INVADER (30% APA, 6.5% Greek VAT) and XANA (35% APA, 5.2% VAT) give both on their listings; for the others, ask us to confirm the terms for your dates. Where a listing gives a range, ask us where your week falls in it. Rates are as listed in September 2026. For the full breakdown, see what a Greece yacht charter costs, and for every Codecasa we list, the Codecasa rate list. Our Benetti and Heesen rankings cover two more yards in Greek waters.

Tell us your dates, your group size and whether you want the Cyclades, the Ionian or the Saronic, and we will check which of these Codecasas is free and send you a shortlist.
