BESTIA Review: The Only Sanlorenzo SP110 for Charter, Twice the Speed of Her Class in Greece

by Klara Braga Jakobsen, Yacht Reviewer at DMA Yachting

I walked BESTIA at the Mediterranean Yacht Show in Nafplio in 2026, with John from our team. The photos are mine, from that morning.

BESTIA is the only Sanlorenzo SP110 you can charter, she cruises at twice the speed of most yachts in her class, and her beach deck extends at anchor. Together those three things make her the best base I know in Greece for a week of proper exploring: more anchorages, less time underway, and a platform at sea level when you get there. She is a 2024 build for eight guests in four cabins with five crew, and this review is about what the speed and the deck give a group, and who she is not for.

Leo from our team walks BESTIA with her captain, Panagiotis Anastasiou, at the Nafplio show.

BESTIA in numbers

  • Length and beam: 33.04 m (108 ft), beam 8.2 m. Sanlorenzo SP110, 2024, one of 48 built.
  • Guests: 8 in 4 cabins: a master with a walk-in wardrobe, two VIP doubles, and a twin that converts to a double, each with its own bathroom.
  • Crew: 5, led by Captain Panagiotis Anastasiou, with chef Ioannis Markatis.
  • Speed: 23 knots cruising, 31 knots maximum, on about 700 litres an hour at cruising speed. Stabilisers at anchor and underway.
  • Rate: 105,000 EUR per week, 120,000 EUR in July and August, plus 35% APA and VAT. With 8 aboard that is about 13,000 to 15,000 EUR per person for the week before expenses.
  • Toys: a 4.6 m Williams Sportjet tender with a 170 hp Rotax, a Seabob F5, two paddleboards, a wakeboard, a towable and a hot dog, and snorkelling kit.
  • Cruising: Greece, based in Athens. Ionian and Aegean.

Twice the speed of her class, and what that does to a week

Most 33-metre motor yachts in Greece cruise at 12 or 13 knots. BESTIA cruises at 23 and tops out at 31, on roughly 700 litres an hour, which is close to what plenty of her size burn to do half that. In a week that is the difference between four anchorages and seven. Mykonos to Santorini is a lunch stop away instead of a travel day. The crew plan her that way: short fast legs in the morning, the rest of the day in the water.

Her captain, Panagiotis Anastasiou, said the thing that matters on our video: she is one of 48 SP110s ever built, and the only one that charters.

The beach deck: 50 square metres that grow at anchor

The SP110 is built around its aft deck. Hers is 50 square metres on an 8.2-metre beam, the widest in her class on our list, and at anchor the platform extends further still, so the deck becomes a terrace at sea level. The guest cabins open straight onto it, which the captain pointed out before anything else: you step out of your cabin and into the sun. Underway every piece of hardware stows away, so the deck reads as clean as it does in the photos. There is no jacuzzi and the flybridge is small; the beach deck is the deck, and it is where the week happens.

Inside: a two-storey saloon that feels like a beach villa

The saloon is on two levels. Upstairs is the main saloon with the dining table under the slatted ceiling; underneath, open to it like a mezzanine, is the lounge with the bar and bar stools. Pale oak floors, white sofas, glass walls on three sides, and nothing in the way of the light. It feels like a beach villa, not a classic yacht, and the chef’s treats and a champagne tray were waiting on the aft deck when we came aboard.

The cabins: a master, two VIPs and a twin

Eight guests in four cabins, every one with its own bathroom. The master has a 205 by 186 cm bed and a walk-in wardrobe. The two VIPs have 190 by 170 cm beds. The fourth cabin is a twin that converts to a double. That is a layout for a lead couple with two more couples, for a family with teenagers in the twin, or for one couple who want a 33-metre boat and five crew to themselves.

Who she is for

  • A lead couple with two other couples, with the twin spare.
  • A family with teenagers: the twin for the kids, the Seabob and the boards off the beach deck.
  • Friends who want to cover the Cyclades fast, Mykonos to Santorini without losing a day.
  • One couple alone, with the boat and the crew to themselves.

John took the helm for a minute at the show, and the view from there tells you what she is: a glass bridge, a low bow, and a boat that wants to be moving.

What she is for, and what she is not

Speed and covering distance first, then water time off the beach deck, then the design and the new-yacht feel. Toys and family come with it. She is not a hosting boat for a dozen: eight guests in four cabins, no more, and no jacuzzi or flybridge bar to gather around. A group whose week is about the jacuzzi, or a client who wants classic yacht styling, should look at the others on our Greek motor yacht page.

Booking BESTIA for Greece: rate, VAT, base and what to ask

The published rate is 105,000 EUR per week, 120,000 EUR in July and August, plus a 35% APA and Greek charter VAT at the rate that applies to your itinerary. Fuel at 23 knots comes out of the APA, so a fast week costs more in expenses than a slow one; ask the captain to plan the legs with that in mind. For the money you get a 2024 Sanlorenzo, which the older 33-metre boats at this rate are not, and a speed that turns a week into more anchorages. She is based in Athens and works the Ionian and the Aegean. Ask whether the twin will be set as a double, and for the beach deck to be extended on the first afternoon.

We have walked her and we put her on our Top 10 motor yachts in Greece at 100 to 150K a week and our 30-metre superyacht class list.
