Amorgos Yacht Charter Guide
Amorgos is one of the more distance-sensitive Cyclades yacht charter stops, but it can be excellent for clients who want a wilder, less obvious island. We usually recommend it only when the yacht, weather, and number of days make the route realistic.
Its value is atmosphere: dramatic coast, Chora, the Monastery of Hozoviotissa, and a more remote Cyclades feeling than Paros, Mykonos, or Santorini.
Best For
- Longer or more flexible Cyclades charters
- Clients who want remote scenery and a less obvious island stop
- Routes combining Amorgos with Naxos, Koufonisia, Paros, or Astypalea
- Motor yachts or flexible catamaran routes with realistic timing
- Guests who prefer atmosphere and views over nightlife
Highlights
- Monastery of Hozoviotissa: The island’s standout landmark and the main reason to build time ashore.
- Chora: One of the most atmospheric villages in the Cyclades.
- Katapola: A practical harbor area and common yacht reference point.
- Aegiali: Useful for a different side of the island when routing allows.
- Koufonisia pairing: We like Amorgos with Koufonisia when the route needs a softer swim-focused stop nearby.
Amorgos Anchorage
Amorgos should be treated as a weather- and distance-sensitive stop. The island has harbor and bay options, but we would not force it into a tight Cyclades week unless the yacht and conditions make the route comfortable.
