Agistri Yacht Charter Guide

Agistri is a small Saronic stop that works best when you want a relaxed swim day close to Athens. We like it as a light, easy addition to Aegina, Poros, Epidaurus, or Methana rather than as the main reason for the route.

For most crewed charters, Agistri is about pine-backed beaches, clear water, and low-pressure time off the yacht. It is not a polished luxury island, which is exactly why it can be useful on a Saronic itinerary that already has bigger cultural stops.

Best For

  • Shorter Athens-based Saronic charters.
  • Clients who want swim stops without a long crossing.
  • Pairing with Aegina, Poros, Epidaurus, or Methana.
  • A quieter day between more built-up Saronic ports.
  • Catamarans and motor yachts looking for simple route flexibility.

What to See and Do

  • Aponisos: a sheltered west-coast area that is often the first name we discuss for a swim stop.
  • Dragonera Beach: pine-backed and simple, good for a lower-key beach break.
  • Skala: the livelier village side of Agistri if guests want to step ashore.
  • Megalohori: the small main village, useful for a walk rather than a big excursion.
  • Chalikiada: a wilder beach setting for guests who prefer scenery over facilities.

Agistri Anchorage

Agistri is best treated as a fair-weather Saronic stop. The captain will choose between the more practical village side and quieter bays depending on wind, swell, and how much time you want ashore. We usually use Agistri for a swim-focused pause, then keep nearby Aegina, Poros, or Epidaurus as the stronger overnight logic.

Why We Include Agistri on a Yacht Charter

Agistri does not need a long history section to justify itself. Its value is practical: it gives an Athens-based charter a quick island feeling almost immediately, without committing the route to a long first or last passage.
