He has skillfully navigated all the Archipelago on various yachts, including a decade on board M/Y Taka and previously on S/Y Onyx (100ft). His profound knowledge of Greek waters and islands makes every voyage memorable. Captain Zafiris leads our crew with excellent skills in communication and quality control at every level, ensuring your safety and enjoyment throughout the journey. Fluent in English, he is a dedicated family man with two children.

Description:
Kostas is Chief Engineer on m/y TAKA since 2007, he graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy and holds a 1st Engineer Diploma. Kostas oversees M/Y Taka’s every technical matter, main engines, auxiliary machinery, and repairs. His technical prowess is complemented by all certifications, including life-saving, firefighting, ship security, and tanker safety. During his free time, Kostas indulges in spearfishing, freediving, and mountain biking. He's a devoted husband, 45 years old, and dedicated to keeping m/y TAKA in prime condition.

Description:
Our Chief Steward, Savvas, will welcome you with a warm smile. He ensures impeccable service and attention to detail. Fluent in English, he takes great pride in providing an unforgettable experience for all guests on board. He is focused and passionate, with excellent organizational and time management skills. He is looking forward to pamper his guests. Savvas is 44 years old, and he also speaks Swedish.

Efstathios (Stathis), our reliable Deckhand, has been an integral part of M/Y Taka since 2004. Holding life-saving and firefighting certificates, he is well-versed in ensuring your safety at sea. Efstathios also holds a sailing license and speed boat license, making water activities like water skiing and exploring hidden coves a breeze. A family man with 3 children, Efstathios is 55 years old and brings a wealth of knowledge to your journey.

Name: Sotiris Sotirai
Position: Chef

Description:
Chef Sotiris commenced his culinary journey 12 years ago, after completed his studies as Chef at the LE MONDE Institute. He started working as a cook and continued his career amongst the best restaurants and hotels in Athens and the Greek Islands, like Santorini, always developing his skills. A few years later he transitioned to the Yachting industry. Furthermore, he has certified knowledge of HACCP (Hazard analysis and critical control points) and holds a Skipper's license. He is thrilled to be part of the M/Y Taka team and to delight their guests with his cuisine.
