Captain Evangelos used to be captain of Sunreef catamaran ABOVE & BEYOND. He is very experienced and has amazing knowledge of all of Greece, great itineraries, where to get the best fresh fish directly from the fishermen, and so on.
(4.5 meters were added to both the stern and the bow and the interior was totally refitted in 2019. Hence the name PROJECT STEEL.)
Chef Konstantinos Katsaros comes from Mega yachts - he was the private chef of the King of Kuwait! - huge sell.
Captain: “we always try to show the secret Greece - Spetses, Nusa, Sifnos, Milos, and Monemvasia and the Peloponnese mainland.”
Two twin cabins with extra Pullman beds. The interior is black and white and minimalistic, no fluff.

First, the headline fact: PROJECT STEEL is a 112ft, steel‑hulled, award‑winning Bugari that’s been repeatedly stripped, stretched (4m hull extension, new vertical bow) and rebuilt to run like a modern charter platform, not a museum piece. Translation: full‑displacement comfort, long‑range efficiency (around 3,000nm) and proper stabilizers, not “hope for calm seas.”
Why you actually book her: she sleeps 12 guests in 5 en‑suite cabins, including a main‑deck VIP and a full‑beam master, with one double that can convert into a kids’ playroom when the adults want their evenings back. Space is the core feature here – big salon, wide decks, proper alfresco dining and a flybridge that’s built for real use, not just photography.

Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see
Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).
All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.
The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).
For a motor yacht like PROJECT STEEL, the expected APA is 25% to 40% of the charter price (€13,750 - €22,000), making the charter cost €68,750 to €77,000. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.
You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).
The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.

Thank you for the best week and best vacation. We were constantly amazed at the wonderful meals, swimming spots and recommendations for activities and restaurants. The boat was great but the crew is what made this a dream vacation.
Some of our favorites included the pirate party + bar in Hydra, Greek coffee in Kyparissi, ATVing around Aegina and tubing/wake boarding. But honestly, it is hard to pick favorites - every day was beautiful.
We haven’t quite decided how we’ll be able to go home and not have the hostess there - the best host! Not sure we can ever thank you all enough!

Its unanimous, this has been the vacation of a lifetime!! Here we are 11 people from all over the United States, on a yacht in Greece with the best captain and crew anyone could ask for, especially while we were cruising through gale force winds on our way to Mykonos. The remaining few days were spent on private beaches and quant towns that screamed “we live here!” The amazing Project Steel crew went above & beyond to make this the most memorable experience to celebrate three 30th Birthdays. From endless frappes and wine to fuel days on the “Sea bob”, wild theme nights and non – stop group photos. We couldn’t have asked for more fantastic crew!! Until next time, Love you so much guys!!

This is our second trip onboard p.s. and we are already planning the third! Another magical family holiday and 50th celebration. Everyone from 4 to 74 had the most special, relaxing and memorable holiday! The incredible team of crew did everything and anything to make us comfortable and welcome. They looked after children so well and with so much love ire really meant we could relax! The sandy beached, delicious food, water sports and evening explorations were all we had looked forward to and dreamt of! Captain introduced us the most idyllic islands that we did not knew existed. Chef introduced us special recipes and we had keeping asking for them! We have fell in love with Greece all over again thanks to the crew who matters most - Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

This was our 10year wedding anniversary trip. We were married on the island of Hydra 5/22/2008. That trip is what Fairytales are made of. However, this trip by far exceeds what we ever expected. The crew of Project Steel went above ‘beyond to make our anniversary trip a very special romantic occasion as they helped to recreate our wedding day! They became our wedding party! What a wonderful day! Captain John totally earned our respect* trust as he navigated our journey through the most scenic, historic and beautiful locations in Greece! Peter and Thomas were the Captains right & left hands, they made us feel safe and the journey smooth and totally loved their smiles! Chef Myrto is an amazing, talented, creative, Michelin chef ad she uses her culinary skills to please any skeptical palate and she will keep you fat and happy haha! She could easily sell her own cookbook! Thank you all for this amazing experience!

I think I can speak for everyone when I say this was the best holiday we have ever had. All the staff could not have been more attentive, sweet, polite and on point. The beautiful yacht was the most luxurious with more than enough space for our group of twelve. First of all, I am very proud to say that we were the first to “try” Project Steel, Captain John and his amazing crew three years ago, when my husband told me that we were going to spend a week on a yacht, I was not very enthusiastic. Indeed, I come from a sailing background, I used to visit the Cyclades with my family on my parents sailing boat with my father as a skipper and my mum as a cook. So, to go on a yacht with a whole crew was a big jump! I enjoyed so much my first trip with Project Steel that I took the risk to bring my parents with us this time. And that was a real gamble! But it seems it was a great success! If I took the risk it is because of the boat sturdy, not too fast, not too noisy, not using too much fuel, the closest as you can get to a sailing boat. But most of all we took the risk because of captain John and his amazing crew! Captain John is also from a sailing background. He has a real respect from mother nature and a real love of the sea. And he is clever enough to choose a fantastic team! Antony is amazing! He was a very good cook 3 years ago but now he really is impressive! We enjoyed the combination of hidden coves, the charming towns and our excursions. The boat was wonderful and the staff was exceptional! A perfect holiday on board Progect Steel. Hoe relaxed it made us all feel.
The staff so professional, friendly and kind doing all the toy cars they didnt seem to mind! Exciting water sports especially the jet ski. Brave little Max out in the deep sea! Antony, Maria, Roger, Peter, Nick and Captain John will all of the children his biggest fans. Amazing lunches, dinners and chocolate cakes, sorry for all the requests for milkshakes!
Salads, grocery, but we still asked for more getting our appetite swimming back from shore! Max as a Captain in sunglasses and hat and Teddy reading the tides currents and maps! Maria and Leo new best matters going not to be tripped up carrying the plates! Always looking to be on the biggest boat but we know this is the best ship afloat!
From ages 2 to 72 we have had the best holiday its all to sad we want to stay!
Thank you for absolutely everything you are ALL AMAZING and we wish Nick a speedy recovery!

We are two families from Atlanta, Georgia on our first trip to Greece. This is what we did NOT like about our voyage on Project Steel

1)Captain John : If you look up captain in the dictionary, Johns name is listed. We always felt safe in his capable hands. Best Captain ever!
2)Peter(Takis) : Such a caring Indiradual who was always there to help (and secure wakeboard and paddle boarders).
3)Anthony(Adonis) : He perpetuates beauty externally and though hs preparation of food. Everyday was a culinary adventure.
4)Nick(Spiderman) : He made sucks we all had a fabulous time with him on water sports, especially Dominico!
5)Maria. Maria embodies everything that is beautiful about Greece! We begged her to go home with us.
6)Roger : the first person you see when you wake up and the last you see when you go to bed. Always smiling!
Project Steel was a great boat but without this crew it would not have been as wonderful. Because at the end of the day, its about the people along the journey with you!

Thank you to the best chef I have ever encountered, simple bean and cheese toastie and he will be in Kos as a Windsurf champion and can teach you surf within two tries. Takis is the friendliest, always help you out, always will to go to you. Roger is everywhere at all times, need him and he will be there. Angelina is also helpful, she will make sure you are happy at every moment of the day. Now listen to his advice and let him do his thing, he is the best Captain in Greece! We are a family of five coming from Switzerland and a friend coming from Bruxelles.
We just spent a fabulous week travelling from Faliro to Serifos via Amorgos and its fabulous monastery, Koufonisi and its wonderful beaches, Schoinousa, Irakleia ...Paros...
Coming to Greece we were looking for authenticity, peace, quietness beauty.
And that is just what we found!
The captain was excellent at finding beautiful unspoilt spots to swim and do all sorts of water sports.
The team was great, nothing to say! Professional helpful enthusiastic kind and last but not least they all seemed to get along together. The food on board was very good, homemade and fresh and the comfort of the beds was excellent. Thank you to team who made our trip a real success.
