MAKANI II Yacht Description

  • 3 x Seabob F5S:
Premium Seabobs provide thrilling underwater exploration—guests can glide beneath the surface with ease.
  • SeaDoo 220hp Jet Ski:
Powerful standup jet ski offers exciting fun on the water, perfect for adrenaline lovers.
  • Full Stabilization System (at anchor & underway):
Ensures smooth cruising and better sleep at anchor; enables visiting more challenging destinations.

Start with the key hack: MAKANI II is a 35m Sunseeker that thinks it’s a 40m. Wide‑body hull, fold‑down salon terraces, and a submersible swim platform mean you’re not chartering “a 115‑footer” – you’re chartering big‑boat volume disguised in a smaller parking space.

Top deck = command center for not doing much. The sundeck runs a proper Jacuzzi surrounded by sunpads, a bar, dining area, and shaded hard top with a retractable section. Translation: same deck works for family time, client dinners, or pretending your phone has no signal while it’s on Starlink Wi‑Fi in your pocket.

Cabin logic is built for real groups, not brochure diagrams. Up to 12 guests sleep in 5 cabins, with a main‑deck master (full‑beam, big windows, marble bathroom, dual walk‑in closets) plus two queens and two twins on the lower deck. Both twins convert to doubles and add Pullmans, so you can run up to five double cabins or mix couples, kids, and friends without a mattress‑Tetris meeting.

Stability, then speed. Full stabilizers work both underway and at anchor, so the boat does the moving, not your drink. Built in 2013 and refit in 2023, she runs at around 19 knots with a range of roughly 1,250nm, which is yacht‑speak for “you can actually go somewhere without turning it into a fuel stop tour.”

Toys: actual hardware, not fine print. Three F5S Seabobs, a SeaDoo jet ski, paddleboards, wakeboard, adult waterskis, inflatable sofa and banana, plus fishing and snorkeling gear. The 520 Williams tender handles everyday runs, and if you want to go full boss mode there’s an optional 10.97m Ribco chase boat that turns transfers into a separate sport.

Tech and service aren’t an afterthought. SONOS AV throughout, big TVs in salon and cabins, a sundeck screen, and Starlink / 4–5G connectivity keep work and streaming alive if you insist. A crew of seven – including a Le Monde‑trained chef and a captain with two decades at sea – is set up for both high‑touch service and smooth, low‑drama operations.

Why charter MAKANI II instead of “another 115”: you get 40m‑class interior volume, a main‑deck master, five‑double flexibility, a real sundeck Jacuzzi, heavy toy inventory, modern refit, and full stabilization – all wrapped in a proven Sunseeker platform that’s designed to be used, not just photographed.

Price Terms

Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see

Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).

All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.

The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).

For a motor yacht like MAKANI II, the expected APA is 25% to 40% of the charter price (€26,250 - €42,000), making the charter cost €131,250 to €147,000. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.

You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).

The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.

Crew

Captain: George Moulas

Giorgos runs MAKANI II with the calm accuracy of someone who has burned a lot of miles and knows exactly where the safe line ends and the fun line begins. He turns the Greek coastline into a precise playground, threading you into the right bays at the right hour so every stop lands clean.

  • Over 20 years of seafaring experience
  • Graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos
  • Certified RYA Ocean Yachtmaster
  • Additional training in electrical systems and 1st stage diving certificate

Yannis builds tight, focused menus that hit hard on flavor and timing, dropping plates that track the day’s pace from light, clean lunches at anchor to big, confident dinners under way. He reads the table fast and tunes each course so every meal feels deliberate, not random.

  • Graduate of Le Monde culinary school (Greece)
  • Experience as Head Chef in high-end restaurants in Athens and Paros
  • Previous yacht experience as chef on a successful 25m yacht
  • Specializes in Mediterranean, Italian, Japanese, and international cuisines

Fotis keeps the decks moving like a well-planned event—lines tight, toys ready, tenders on time—so your day rolls from swim to sundowner without friction. He turns guest plans into a clear deck game plan and then executes it without noise.

  • BA in Business and Marketing, University of Sunderland (UK)
  • Fluent in English
  • Deck and bosun roles on private and charter yachts including TOY-A, SERENITY, and GEORGE P

Teody works the deck with quiet precision, catching problems before you ever see them and keeping launches, lines, and water toys running on fast, clean responses. When something needs doing, it’s usually already done.

  • Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering
  • Started motor-yacht career in 2004
  • Five years continuous service on board MAKANI / MAKANI II

Konstantinos runs the machinery space like a sealed system—engines, generators, and hotel load all locked in—so you get speed, silence, and cold air without a flicker. When the yacht moves, he has already run the numbers twice.

  • Class A engineer and graduate of the Merchant Naval Academy
  • 20 years of experience at sea, including service as chief engineer
  • Passenger ship (Ro/Ro) security training certificates
  • Holds a speed boat licence and speaks English

Natassa runs the interior like a quiet clinic—service sharp, cabins perfect, timing dead-on—so you feel looked after without ever feeling managed. She reads the mood early and tunes the flow from sunrise coffee to late-night cocktails.

  • Almost 10 years of yachting experience in Greece and the Caribbean
  • Licensed A’ class steward
  • F&B Management certification (Le Monde School)
  • Wine and Mixology (PYA) and STCW onboard safety certifications; previous yachts include TOY-A, ALMYRA, and MAKANI

Fotini brings merchant-marine discipline into guest service, moving fast and precise so cabins turn, tables reset, and details land before you even think to ask. She keeps the atmosphere light while the operation stays tight.

  • Graduate of Nautical High School of Athens (Merchant Marines, B Cycle, 2016)
  • Further studies at the Shipping Department in Piraeus (from 2017)
  • Yachting experience since 2021 on yachts including TOY A, LADY DENIA, MARIA, and MAESTRO
