Price Terms
Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see
Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).
All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.
The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).
For a motor yacht like MAIA, the expected APA is 25% to 40% of the charter price (€32,500 - €52,000), making the charter cost €162,500 to €182,000. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.
You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).
The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.

Captain: Filip Jakir
Filip runs MAIA like a captain who built the playbook himself, pairing eight generations of sea instinct with a sharp eye for guest comfort so every mile feels deliberate, safe, and worth your time. He turns the Adriatic into his front yard and invites you in like a local, not a tourist.
- Eight generations of family seafaring tradition
- Nearly 10 years as captain of family yacht Tajna Mora
- Captain experience on luxury yacht SCORPIOS prior to MAIA
- Has charter experience in Croatia, the Adriatic, and the Caribbean
Zlatko builds menus around you, not the galley, locking in clean, seasonal flavors and tailored plates so every meal hits exactly how your day on the water feels. He works the local supply chain hard, turning fishermen and farmers into your unseen support crew.

- Earned Master Chef title with honors from the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Arts in 2011
- Specializes in Mediterranean cuisine with fully customized menus

Ivan runs the detail work in the galley, tightening every plate with bistro precision and fine-dining discipline so the food line stays fast, clean, and quietly creative. He threads Mediterranean comfort through a lean Asian edge, keeping the menu sharp without going heavy.
- 10 years’ experience in bistros, fine dining, and one season onboard a gulet
- Completed specialized bread-making training in Italy
- Completed professional sushi masterclass
- Focuses on Mediterranean cuisine with Asian influences and precise presentation
Pero runs the deck like a tight corridor—lines, toys, and tenders all where they should be—so your swim stops and dockings feel smooth and controlled, not like a show. He carries restaurant-grade patience onto the rail, keeping things calm even when the schedule isn’t.
- 9 years’ experience in the yachting industry
- 6 years’ hospitality experience working in restaurants
- Fluent in English
- Aiming toward captaincy with a strong focus on seamanship and guest-facing skills
Rafaela runs MAIA’s interior like a quiet film set—service tight, scenes reset, guests always in the best light—so your days feel smooth, personal, and uncluttered. She reads groups fast and tunes the atmosphere from family-casual to champagne-formal without missing a beat.
- 7 years’ experience in yachting, including Lagoon 42–62 catamarans and Gulet Dragon Fly
- Degree from the University of Portsmouth, UK
- Fluent in English; basic German, Turkish, and Spanish
- Strong background in guest experience, interior styling, and media content creation
Tea brings that grounded, family-restaurant energy on board—fast on service, calm under pressure—so the boat feels friendly, fluent, and easy to live in from day one. She spots tension early and quietly clears it with small, precise gestures.
- Hospitality experience since age 14, including family restaurant and Austrian wellness hotels
- Fluent in English and German
- Multiple summer seasons in guest-facing roles before yachting
- Now in her second season at sea and progressing toward Chief Stewardess
Kristina keeps the interior sharp and quiet, turning cabins and tables with methodical focus so everything looks ready before you even think to ask. She aims for that “home, but upgraded” feel—soft landings after big days out.
- In yachting since 2020
- Interior and service roles on M/Y Aurum Sky, M/Y Relax, M/Y Agape Rose, and M/Y Adri
- Fluent in English; basic Italian and German
- Specialized in housekeeping, table service, and guest-relations workflows
Maria works in the background like a quiet system upgrade—cabins reset, details aligned, everything smelling new—so the yacht feels freshly delivered every morning. She blends chef discipline with housekeeping precision, keeping standards high without ever feeling in the way.
- In the yachting industry since 2022
- Previous Sous Chef roles on yachts Apollon and Adris
- Served aboard luxury yacht Navilux before joining MAIA
- Experienced in housekeeping as well as culinary and guest hospitality support
Dominik keeps the hardware honest—engines, electrics, deck systems—so you get quiet reliability instead of surprise downtime. He moves from tools to tender lines without drama, solving problems before they turn into schedule changes.
- Experience on vessels from small speedboats to large charter yachts
- Background in electronics plus certified seamanship and safety training
- Grew up in Omiš around commercial and charter traffic
- Strong track record in technical maintenance and deck operations
Dominik runs the wet edge of the program—tenders, toys, lines—so your time on the water feels tight, safe, and easy to repeat day after day. He folds sustainability thinking into real-world operations, keeping fun high and footprint lean.
- Degree in Maritime Management and Yacht & Marina Technologies
- 10+ years’ experience on the water from small boats and RIBs to 50m luxury yachts
- Worked as assistant manager developing sustainable charter programs
- Extensive hands-on charter experience, including milestone events for guests
Reviews
Crew / Service - A++
Fully staffed, exceptionally trained and coordinated, pleasant and interesting / happy, overly accommodating, knew exactly that appropriate attention and how to handle most any request. Silent and present when needed and just super experienced. I couldn’t help to notice the uniforms, sporty, fresh, trendy and 6 versions all coordinated down to the shoes! The service and attention was perfectly balanced. Ps the wash smelled great every day. Captains flexibility, confidence and knowledge showed. He knew every island, ideal parking spots, willingness to harbor and pivot, easy and pleasant with great communication and providing options every day. Checked in constantly. Very very accommodating. The crew took good care looking after boys looking for late night action.
Accommodations and Equipment - A
Being a brand new boat helps, extremely well appointed and finished, clean, strong AC, and didn’t skirt the little things, massive speaker and machine for karaoke, costumes, great towels, fresh towels twice a day for swimming, plates and silverware variety every day, etc. TV room excellent layout and technology, and the outdoor sun / sitting areas multiple. The swimming and water activities very important to our group, it was A ranked with all new highest end equipment with variety, and making it available often with no complaints. The few days of malfunctioning air handling was a bummer but was rectified. Possibly consider a bit more shade options like an umbrella mid upper deck near couch. Lots of places to find privacy, very nice.
Food - A++
Exceeded expectations. Extremely fresh and clean, high quality selections, wide variety, depth and breadth of range outstanding. Best that we have encountered to date. Many options to suite everyone. Ate more meals on boat than ever before due to exceptional offerings.
Area Knowledge - A+
