BARACUDA VALLETTA Yacht Description
-
Two SeaDoo Jet Skis:
High-energy water fun for guests; rare and exciting for a sailing yacht like this Perini Navi. -
Hydraulically-operated swim platform with fold-out staircase:
Easy water access and tender launching, perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and family water time. -
Seabob waterscooter:
Premium agile underwater exploration toy for both fun and romance during snorkeling or shallow dives.
Start with the party trick: BARACUDA VALLETTA’s entire stern folds down into a huge, stepped swim platform that can be dropped below the waterline. It’s basically a private beach club bolted to a 50m Perini Navi ketch – built in aluminium for real sailing, not just photo ops.
Then the operating system: a fully refitted (latest update 2024) 164ft Perini Navi with a canting keel, carbon in‑boom furling and a serious sail plan, designed by Ron Holland. Translation: you’re not just “on a sailing yacht”, you are on the performance version of a sailing yacht, with the comfort level of a small hotel.
Inside, someone deleted the clutter. John Pawson’s minimalist interior is all light, space and clean lines – one open main deck, huge windows, almost no partitions. 10 guests sleep on the lower deck in 5 cabins (master with his & hers bathrooms, two VIPs, two twins), so everyone gets a real cabin, not a converted cupboard.
Hardware for humans, not brochures: big shaded aft cockpit with an adjustable dining table, flybridge lounges under those towering carbon masts, and a toy list that actually justifies the word “superyacht”: Jet Skis, Seabob, canoes, SUPs, towables, wakeboard, skis, snorkelling and more, all run by a 9‑crew team built for proper charter service.
Why charter BARACUDA VALLETTA instead of another 50m: you get a top‑tier Perini sailing experience, a fresh refit, a genuinely usable beach club, minimalist designer interior, serious range and toys, and enough space and crew to run a full‑on family or friends charter without anyone negotiating for territory.

Price Terms
Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see
Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).
All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.
The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).
For a sailboat like BARACUDA VALLETTA, the expected APA is 15% to 30% of the charter price (€27,750 - €55,500), making the charter cost €212,750 to €240,500. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.
You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).
The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.

Vangelis drives BARACUDA VALLETTA with the cool force of a Piraeus-born racer who has turned hard miles and medals into quiet, confident command, so your cruising track through the Eastern Med feels sharp, safe, and deliberately chosen. He knows these coasts and crossings cold, which means you spend less time guessing and more time locked into the best wind, water, and anchorages.

- Holds Hellenic Merchant Maritime Skipper A’ Class license
- Extensive offshore and Olympic-class racing background with multiple medals
- Completed Atlantic crossing from Spain to Miami
George runs the machinery spaces like a tight, methodical engine room on a blue-water ship, so power, air, and systems stay steady while you forget there’s a heavy-metal plant humming under your feet. He treats every passage like a technical brief, catching issues before they even look like problems.
- Greek nationality; Chief Engineer Unlimited License holder
- Career at bulk and LNG carriers from 2005 before entering yachting in 2015
- Joined S/Y BARACUDA VALLETTA in 2023
- Qualified in SSO, Ro-Ro passenger, Advanced Firefighting, LNG firefighting, High Voltage (ABS), and holds speedboat license
George brings racer’s instincts and calm deck discipline, turning sail trim, maneuvers, and tenders into a smooth, controlled show for guests instead of a scramble. He reads weather and water fast, then sets up the deck so you move through it cleanly, without friction.
- Greek nationality; age 37
- Background in club racing around Greece from a young age
- Long-term career in the yachting industry
Raemon is the roaming problem-solver on deck, a carpenter-turned-seaman who keeps gear solid, lines clean, and the vibe easy while you move from swim platform to sail trim to sundowners. He stitches his world-travel grit into calm, guest-facing service that never feels forced.
- Irish nationality; age 47
- Joined S/Y BARACUDA VALLETTA in 2015
- Professional carpenter with global work experience across multiple careers

Yiannis builds stripped-back, flavor-tight menus that track the day’s rhythm—light and clean when you’re chasing wind, layered and indulgent when the boat slows and the lights drop. He pulls Mediterranean produce into focused plates, not fuss, and nails the wine match while he’s at it.
- Greek nationality; age 30
- Graduate of Le Monde Culinary Institute, Athens
- Background in luxury restaurants and as a private chef
- Formal studies in Oenology with strong food-and-wine pairing skills
Tania runs the interior with racer’s discipline and island-town warmth, snapping service into place so cabins, tables, and details stay sharp while the atmosphere stays loose and human. She spots what needs tightening before guests ever notice it’s loose.
- Greek nationality; age 46; born and raised in Nafpaktos
- Yachting industry experience since 1997
- Many years racing offshore sailing boats in the Aegean and Mediterranean
- Working on charter yachts as stewardess since 2010
