Introduced by DMA Yachting, the astonishing charter yacht AURA is a 55 ft sailing catamaran. The most attractive features of AURA are her impeccable styling and alfresco dining areas. AURA spends the summer and winter season in Greece. She was completed by the well-known ship builder Lagoon in 2014. An elegant refit was finalized in 2023. The ingenious yacht layout features 5 generous cabins and comfortably accommodates a maximum of 10 guests.
AURA is offered primarily as a sailing catamaran. The central space of the yacht is the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck features a variety of seating areas and that's where most of the delicious meals are served. The modern cabins offer unbeatable views in the morning and are located just below deck. The cabins are located below the main saloon, connected by stairs (inquire about handicapped access). Multiple portholes supply a sunny feeling, with the option for darkness and privacy.
The sailboat features Aura is a luxury catamaran that features a spacious and modern design, perfect for sailing in comfort and style. With a length of 56 feet, it offers ample space for up to 8 guests in 4 tastefully appointed cabins, each with its ensuite bathroom. The master suite is particularly spacious and offers stunning panoramas of the surrounding scenery. There is also a large salon and fully equipped galley, perfect for preparing delicious meals. The outdoor spaces on Aura are equally impressive, with a large aft deck, comfortable seating areas, and a flybridge with an additional seating and lounging area, as well as a navigation station. REFIT / MAINTENANCE DETAILS:
The refit that was done on the boat included several updates and improvements. Firstly, a new Bimini and Spray hood were added.The pillows and cushions were also replaced with new ones to refresh the look of the boat's seating areas.
In addition to the external improvements, work was done inside the boat as well. All the interior was refreshed, and leather was added to dress up the interior. The furniture tapestry was also updated, giving the boat a more modern and cleaner look. New faucets were installed in the kitchen and other areas where necessary. Carpeting was placed throughout the interior of the boat, giving it a comfortable and luxurious feel.
Furthermore, the kitchen was given a new look with a marble finish for all counters. A new music system was also installed, providing entertainment for those on board. Finally, the dinghy was refitted to improve its performance and functionality.
Overall, the refit included several upgrades and improvements that not only enhanced the boat’s appearance but also improved its functionality and comfort.
Crew Information
Captain Sakis Vrachatis
was born in 1973 and acquired his first sailing license at a very young age. He has over 25
years of experience in the yachting industry and currently holds a 500gt power and sailing license, as well as a license as a sailing instructor. His passion for sailing, fishing, and traveling has taken him all around the world, from Montenegro to Dubai, but Greece is his favorite country to sail in because of his love for his home country.
Captain Sakis has been sailing on catamaran boats for almost 10 years and has extensive knowledge of the Greek islands and their hidden gems. He is a highly skilled and experienced sailor who places a strong emphasis on safety and customer satisfaction. His warm and friendly personality, coupled with his deep knowledge of the sea, make him an ideal captain for any charter. He speaks English fluently and enjoys sharing his knowledge of the local history, culture, and cuisine with his guests.
In his free time, Captain Sakis enjoys exploring new destinations, meeting new people, and trying new foods. He is an avid fisherman and loves to share his passion for the sea with his guests. Chef Lydia Metinoglou
is a talented and creative individual who is passionate about cooking and traveling. Lydia is 30 years old and speaks Greek, English, Spanish, and a bit of Italian. She chose yachting because it allows her to combine her love of cooking with her passion for travel. Lydia was introduced to sailing at a young age when her uncle took her on races with him. She fell in love with the combination of the wind and the sea, and has been sailing ever since. As a chef, Lydia is dedicated to using fresh and local ingredients to create unique and delicious meals for her guests. She is always up for a challenge and loves to experiment with new flavors and techniques Lydia is willing to take any special requests and considers all specific dietary requirements she may be asked to.
In her free time, Lydia loves to explore new destinations and immerse herself in different cultures. She is always on the lookout for new ingredients and techniques to incorporate into her cooking.
