Fresh from the 2025 MEDYS Yacht Show, we’ve been onboard each of these yachts ourselves—checking layout, crew, and real-life comfort.

We’re not just looking at speed. Fuel efficiency matters, especially for longer trips—saving you hundreds (even thousands) in fuel.

These fast yachts are perfect for:

10. RINI V

RINI V cruises at 23 knots with a top speed of 27—which is fantastic for a 2009-built yacht. And don’t let the age fool you—on RINI V, it’s actually one of her strengths.

She’s had years in charter to prove herself and build a strong reputation. The captain has been onboard for 16 years, and the rest of the crew for 4–9 years. This is proper Greek hospitality. A fantastic family boat. Nearly all guests are repeat clients—and many call ahead just to confirm the same crew is still onboard.

The interior has a lovely Greek sea theme, and the cabins are named after Greek islands. She has 2 master cabins—the lower one includes a Pullman bed, making it perfect for a couple with a young child.

Chef Nikos can do it all—from traditional and modern Greek to full sushi dinners.

The top deck layout is a highlight—a perfect setting for a big Greek dinner or a fun party night.

She’ll be spending a lot of time in the Ionian Sea this season.

9. HAKUNA MATATA

HAKUNA MATATA is one of my favorite family yachts cruising in Greece right now. She fully embraces the family style—The Lion King theme runs throughout, and it’s genuinely fun. Each cabin is named after a different character. The two twins are set up for kids: one with a super creative jungle theme, the other with cute stuffed toys.

She cruises at 25 knots and maxes out at 27, so if you want to take your family on the adventure of a lifetime—fast island hopping through the Saronic or Cyclades—this is an exceptional option.

She gets a refit every year to keep her in top condition, and she is.

Our broker, John Boullin, had lunch onboard earlier, and all was praise.

8. DRAGON

DRAGON is a super sporty-looking yacht, cruising at 24 knots (planing) with a top speed of 27. Fuel consumption is 850 liters per hour.

But although she looks like a sleek, modern machine on the outside, her interior is a surprise—don’t judge a book by its cover. It’s traditional, posh, and beautifully done. I really appreciate this blend.

She has 2 master cabins (rare!), 2 VIPs, and 2 twins with extra Pullmans—a great layout for two families sharing.

She’s not showing her age either—lots of upgrades and very well kept.

7. LA PELLEGRINA

La PELLEGRINA isn’t technically the 7th fastest yacht on this list—but she earns this spot thanks to her incredible efficiency for her class.

Built with a military-grade hull and a Carbon and Kevlar structure, she’s light, fast, and fuel-smart. She has the biggest engine at the show and can hit speeds up to 28 knots. Yet, thanks to her construction, fuel consumption is just 620 liters per hour at cruising speed—which is remarkable for a yacht her size. To put it in perspective, that’s comparable to SUMMER FUN (below), which is 40% shorter.

The crew previously worked on Project Steel, bringing solid experience. The captain’s favorite cruising areas are the Dodecanese and the remote bays and islands of the southern Peloponnese. “Not many people reach it,” he says. “It’s very secluded and untouched.”

If you have the time, his recommended itinerary: start in the northern Ionian, cruise around the entire Peloponnese, and finish in Athens. A dream trip.

6. ANASA

ANASA is a 2009 Maiora—just a bit newer than PAREAKI II—and cruises at 22 knots (planing), with a max speed of 29. Fuel consumption is a little high at 800 liters per hour, but she delivers solid performance.

The master cabin is a standout, with fully separate his and hers en-suites—each with its own toilet, sink, and shower—plus a walk-in closet for her. It’s a rare layout and feels incredibly spacious.

The cabins are finished in light oak wood, adding to the fresh, warm vibe. And yes—I have to mention the smell. Carrot cake is a favorite onboard, and it gives the whole yacht a cozy, homely feel.

ANASA is also very family-friendly. Gates at the top and bottom of the stairs, high rails for safety, and a kids’ cabin with an extra Pullman and toys already set up. It’s genuinely cute—and a smart choice for families.

5. PAREAKI II

PAREAKI II is a 2006 Maiora, an older yacht that cruises at 21 knots and reaches a max speed of 29. Keep in mind her fuel consumption is on the higher side—around 900 liters per hour at cruising speed—typical for a yacht of this age.

But here’s the upside: being an older model, she has a charm you just don’t find in newer builds. The interior has a beautiful classic-contemporary design that feels fresh and high-end. Great headroom in the cabins, white carpets, warm lighting—it’s very inviting.

She sleeps 12 guests in a flexible layout: 2 twin cabins (one with an extra Pullman), and a rare single cabin on the main deck.

I was really pleasantly surprised by the flybridge, which the crew calls “the lounge.” It has a full coffee bar, a seriously impressive snack table, smooth jazz playing, a big lounge area, and a jacuzzi surrounded by sun pads. By day, it’s a coffee lounge—by evening, it’s a champagne lounge. The mood is perfectly set.

4. SUMMER FUN

SUMMER FUN is a go-to choice for groups of 12 in Greece—and for good reason. She ticks a lot of boxes: 6 cabins (rare for her size), 7 crew, and great value. It’s a unique package that fits a common demand.

She’s also fast—cruising at 22 knots with a top speed of 29—making her ideal for hopping around the Cyclades and reaching those more remote islands. Book early—she goes fast.

There’s a double cabin on the main deck known as “the playroom,” complete with a big screen, PlayStation, and separate toilet and shower room—perfect for kids or teens.

Her charter style is exactly what her name promises: Summer Fun.

3. AKASTI

AKASTI is fresh out of the shipyard and in mint condition.

She combines great speed (cruises at 23 knots, maxes out at 31) with excellent fuel efficiency—just 550 liters per hour at cruising. That’s serious savings if you’re covering long distances in the Cyclades—think €100–€300 less per hour compared to similar yachts. We’re talking Sanlorenzo 2024-level efficiency.

The captain is a gem—he bakes fresh bread every morning, and the smell alone is worth waking up for. The yacht’s interior is modern and clean, with the master cabin in the stern—arguably the most comfortable spot while cruising.

The flybridge is a standout, with a hardtop that opens up for stargazing at night.

But the true highlight of the yacht? Stewardess Alina. She’s warm, enthusiastic, and genuinely made me feel right at home.

2. EVA

EVA had a major refit in 2023 and looks super fresh. Beyond her sleek new look, her two standout features are speed and food.

She cruises easily at 22 knots and can hit 33 knots when needed. But what really sets EVA apart is the onboard dining experience. Our broker Peter Domschke summed it up best:
“Honestly, this was the best meal I had at the whole show. The sea bass carpaccio and ceviche were spot on and beautifully served.”

Cooking is a real focus on EVA. Chef Thanassis Prassas invites guests into the galley, which is full-beam and designed to feel like home. You can pull up a bar stool and watch him work—or roll up your sleeves and join a cooking class to learn how to make proper Greek food.

We love yachts that offer this kind of connection.

1. ONE

ONE is one of the fastest yachts available for charter in Greece—and a serious value at under €50,000 per week. She sleeps eight guests, with two additional Pullman beds perfect for kids.

The master cabin is spacious for a yacht this size. The other cabins are tighter, so she’s best suited for a family or a single couple.

ONE does serious speed: cruising at 33 knots and topping out at over 40. That makes her perfect for hitting the harder-to-reach spots—think the Sporades, like Skopelos and Alonissos, or bouncing from Hydra to Milos without a second thought.

Bad weather in the Cyclades? No problem—you can be in Kefalonia in the Ionian in just 8 hours.

Bonus: she comes with a Jetsurf and a jetski.
