I walked ARTISAN at the Mediterranean Yacht Show in Nafplio in 2025. The photos are mine, from that afternoon.
ARTISAN is the yacht with the whole package: five decks, a gym on the sixth, a lift between them, and a beach club that turns into a playground. She was the most impressive yacht at Nafplio, and the one most talked about on the dock.
She is a 65-metre Benetti from 2019, World Superyacht of 2020, with an 8-seat jacuzzi, five fold-down balconies, seven cabins for twelve with a VIP that rivals the master, and seventeen crew.
At 645,000 to 720,000 EUR a week she is the top of the Greek list, and this review is about what that buys, room by room, and the two things to know before you book her.
Our walkthrough of ARTISAN, from the myGreekCharter channel.
ARTISAN in numbers
- Length and beam: 65 m (213 ft), beam 10.6 m, draft 3.35 m. Benetti, Livorno, 2019, refitted 2024. Exterior by Giorgio M. Cassetta, interior by Bannenberg and Rowell.
- Guests: 12 in 7 cabins: a master suite with its own lounge, office and private foredeck; a VIP with a bed that splits into twins; a seventh cabin on the main deck with a fold-down balcony that doubles as a nanny cabin or a massage room; four doubles on the lower deck, two with pullman berths. Every cabin with its own bathroom.
- Crew: 17.
- Speed: 14 knots cruising, 16 knots maximum, on two MTU 12V4000s. Stabilisers.
- Rate: 645,000 EUR per week in low season, 680,000 to 720,000 EUR in peak, plus 35% APA and VAT. With 12 aboard that is about 54,000 to 60,000 EUR per person for the week before expenses.
- Water: a beach club with three swim platforms and fold-down terraces, an inflatable playground, trampoline and sea pool astern, an 8-seat jacuzzi on the upper deck. Toys: a 44-foot Fjord chase boat, a Castoldi jet tender, a RIBO 450, two Sea-Doo GTX 300s, Seabobs, e-foils, paddleboards, wakeboards, kayaks, inflatables.
- Awards: World Superyacht Awards 2020; Best Exterior Design 2019 at the World Yacht Trophies.
- Cruising: Greece, Turkey, Croatia and Montenegro in summer; the Middle East and the Red Sea in winter.
Five decks, a gym on the sixth, and a lift between them
Most 65-metre yachts have four guest decks. ARTISAN has five, and in 2022 her owner added a sixth on top for the gym, a glass room with a treadmill, a cross trainer, weights and a 360-degree view. A lift runs through all of them, so a guest who does not do stairs reaches every deck, the sundeck included.
That is the thing to understand about her: the volume is not spread thin. Each deck has a job. The sundeck is the gym and the jacuzzi. The upper deck has the piano saloon and, forward of it, the master suite with its private terrace. The main deck has the formal saloon, the VIP and the seventh cabin with the balcony. The lower deck has the four guest doubles, and below the stern, the beach club.
The beach club: three swim platforms, and a playground astern
Her beach club is the strongest room on the boat, and it is not one room. A fixed indoor lounge sits in the middle, with sofas, a bar and the hats on the table. Then three platforms open around it: the aft one folds down over the water, and two side balconies open out, one set for cocktails, one with sunbeds, and one with a massage table and a view.
Behind her, the crew inflate a playground: a trampoline, a slide, a sea pool with a net for anyone who does not want to meet a jellyfish. The chase boat, a 44-foot Fjord, waits alongside for the run to a beach or a taverna.
The master: a suite with its own foredeck, and a VIP that rivals it
The master is a suite on the upper deck, not a cabin: the bedroom, then an office with a sofa and a desk, then a lounge, and a private terrace forward beyond the glass with loungers nobody else uses. The bathroom has a tub under the window. The bedroom itself is not the largest you will see on a 65-metre; the space went into the rooms around it.
The VIP on the main deck is the surprise. It is big enough that two principals can share the yacht without either feeling second. Its bed splits into twins. The seventh cabin on the main deck has its own fold-down balcony and doubles as a nanny cabin or a massage room, and the four lower-deck doubles are generous even where the pullmans fold out.
Inside: Bannenberg and Rowell, a grand piano, and the details that cost money
Bannenberg and Rowell did the interior, and it reads as a grand hotel rather than a beach house: dark wood and cream, polished stone, a sculpture and a bust on the saloon sideboard, and a grand piano in the upper saloon.
The details are where the rate goes: heated bathroom floors, a heated table on the bridge deck for cool evenings, and outdoor furniture that would hold its own in a Milan showroom.
The sundeck and the foredeck: an 8-seat jacuzzi and the view forward
The jacuzzi on the upper deck seats eight, the largest I saw at the show. The sundeck aft of the gym has a dining table and a bar under the hardtop.
Forward, the foredeck runs long and teak-floored with sunpads, and the master’s private terrace sits above it.
Who she is for
- Two families across three generations, with the nanny cabin on the main deck.
- Two principals who each want a master-grade cabin.
- A group whose week is the beach club and the toys.
- A celebration or a milestone week at the top of the market.
- A wellness group: the gym deck in the morning, the massage balcony in the afternoon, yoga on top.
What she is for, and what she is not
Water and the toys first, then hosting, then quiet and wellness, then the statement she makes. The two things to know: the price, which is the top of the Greek list, and the master bedroom, which is smaller than her volume suggests because the suite’s size is in the lounge, the office and the foredeck.
There is no masseuse in the crew; one is hired for your dates on request. And she cruises at 14 knots, so the week is planned around anchorages, not crossings.
Booking ARTISAN for Greece: rate, VAT, base and what to ask
The published rate is 645,000 EUR per week in low season and 680,000 to 720,000 EUR in peak, plus a 35% APA and Greek charter VAT at the rate that applies to your itinerary.
For that you get 65 metres on six decks, seventeen crew, a lift, a beach club with three platforms, a 44-foot chase boat and a World Superyacht Award on the wall. She cruises Greece, Turkey and the Adriatic in summer and the Middle East in winter.
Ask for a masseuse to be booked for your dates, whether the VIP will be set as a double or twins, which cabin the nanny takes, and for the playground to be inflated on the first afternoon.
We have walked her and we put her second on our Greek superyachts designed like floating beach clubs list. The rest of her band is on our 60-metre superyacht class page.
ARTISAN and three more yachts in her class
ARTISAN and three other yachts in her class in Greece I would look at next if her dates are gone.
