12 knots is decent for cruising around. It gets you where you want to go quickly, especially since the Greek islands are further apart.

You take just 200 liters per hour, which is important because it adds up, especially if you want a larger itinerary.

Transcript — A full walkthrough of ALTHEA with Captain Tikamiro
>>: So we are on ALTHEA and we're meeting Captain Tikamiro.
[Music]
>>: Oh, how is it going? Hello, good morning. Let's meet, uh, see the aft and then we're gonna meet the captains. Look for presentation. The aft deck is quite spacious.
>>: And here we have the Captain.
Captain Tikamiro: Hello, nice to meet you.
>>: Nice to meet you. Thank you for showing us around.
Captain Tikamiro: Yes, please.
>>: The salon. This is the salon with the indoor dining table in case of bad weather.
>>: Yeah.
>>: We have a box over there.
[Music]
>>: Yes, very cool. It's great, so it doesn't have to be there all the time, especially when navigating. It wouldn't be very convenient. All right. So maybe let's start with the starboard cabins. Yes. Starboard, we have two cabins. This is the master cabin. It's the master. If you want to show, this is the magic glass.
>>: Magic glass. How does a magic glass work, Captain?
Captain Tikamiro: Yes.
>>: So I imagine, okay. Ah, now it works. All right, so it can be see-through or not, depending on guest preferences. That is very clever. I have seen some boats that would benefit from such a glass. Now I'm wondering how it works inside there. But yeah, also the not a head, this is like a full bathroom, like a catamaran with wood cap. It's wonderful. This. Oh, so there's more. There's a huge storage area. Yeah, this is the master. This is the normal cabin. Is VIP on the other side? I see. So this is the cabin. Wonderful. Mirror images. There might be subtle differences that the charters appreciate. Oh, what do we have here? This is the shower gel and dispenser for mountain brown. Shower gel and shampoo and conditioner. Wonderful. Just one more of the same cutting in the front.
[Music]
>>: Feels very stylish and comfortable, I'm sure. Let's continue, please. See the cockpit. You have this good weather table. Trying to find water toys. Big tender. Hmm.
[Music]
>>: Small table for coffee in the morning and this place for sun and jet ski. And the jet ski. Great, so you spend time on the water, not traveling. What's our cruising speed here?
Captain Tikamiro: 12 knots.
>>: 12 knots in the cruising and maximum points.
Captain Tikamiro: 12.
>>: 12 is decent for cruising around. It gets you like if you want to get somewhere quickly, especially the Greek islands are further apart, so something to consider. If you want to see a lot of things, you do want a power catamaran that's cruising at 12 knots because you're not going to spend most of your time navigating. It's not take too much fuel.
Captain Tikamiro: You take just 200 liters.
>>: Per hour, which is important because it adds up, especially if you want a larger itinerary. The fuel cost can be quite high, so having a new boat that has low consumption is a very good idea. Yes. Just 10 minutes. Say anchor and in 10 minutes the jet ski is down and you get to explore.
[Music]
>>: Wonderful. So there are three places where you can have dinner. That's that's brilliant. You want to look out or you want to hide from the wind or is it raining? Yes, so that is perfect. Yes. Also this area, the sunbed area is quite this. This is my place. I imagine that would be your favorite. It does look like a Formula One cockpit a little bit, doesn't it? Yeah. So Captain Tikamiro, thank you for showing me around and have a great day.
Captain Tikamiro: Thank you very much. Thank you.
