Variable expenses — fuel, food, marina fees — are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), an additional deposit added to the charter price. The remainder is returned after charter.

>> Captain: Catamaran, when it sails, it's more luxurious and more fun.
Sailing, we have a lot of toys on board. We have a SUP, we have a kayak. If the clients want as an extra, we also bring a jet ski on board. So either we tow the jet ski or the dinghy. You have to have everything, you know. If you can accommodate a jet ski on board, you already go into a completely different league.
This is a Lagoon 560. Year of built is 2014, but last year we had a total refit inside, so all the surfaces, everything is new. We have five cabins: four doubles and one bunk bed. We take up to nine guests because we're three crew. It's myself, the captain, we have the deckhand and the cook. So on the starboard side, we have the master cabin if you go in and right.
All of the cabins have their own bathroom and shower. We have a water maker, we have one generator and AC and everything. 56 feet. Cruising speed just with engines is around 8 knots, 8 and a half knots in flat conditions. But with sails, we go much, much faster.
We're based in Athens, Alimos. So usually we sail around the Cyclades. If the weather is very bad and rough, we do Saronic, but most of the time it's Cyclades for us. My favorite place in Greece is Polyaigos. It's a small island behind Milos. It's like a blue lagoon over there, very nice for swimming and spending the night.
I personally believe that when guests choose between a monohull and a catamaran, when we first get the inquiry, often times they already know that they want a monohull or they already know that they want a catamaran. I almost feel like they're two different types of people that enjoy two different types of things. So it's very rare that we get clients that charter a catamaran one day and a monohull the next. So you kind of have to have the personality for a catamaran and a personality for a monohull.
On the catamaran, one thing for sure is that it's easier to get the guests involved in sailing if they want to, of course. Yeah, yeah, you, it's easier to explain stuff and everything because everything is easier up here, you know, we don't move too much. Yeah, so you can get everyone involved in sailing.
