In your search for a large group charter for your next vacation, you might have noticed that it is not easy to find a luxury yacht charter in Greece that allows more than 12 guests.

Why? The answer lies in the stringent EU regulations, which effectively are making it close to impossible to have more than 12 people on board a Greece yacht charter.

The stipulations basically require safety boats with Titanic parameters and additional requirements that private boat owners are not willing to fulfill.

You’re either looking for a small cruise ship or for one of the very few crewed yacht charters that fulfill the bureaucratic necessities for a commercial license to host more than 12 guests for a yacht charter in the Greek islands.

Even the largest yachts with 20+ cabins with double beds will not be able to take on more than 12 clients for yacht charter unless they agree to comply with strict parameters for sailing yachts at sea, matching cross-Atlantic travel in terms of safety equipment.

SOMETHING COOL is a 146-foot steel motor yacht built by the Italian Shipyard CPN Ancona in 1981. She underwent a major refit in 2023 and is in top condition with many new upgrades.

What I love most about this yacht is that she stays true to the old classic nautical style; it is sure to get any maritime enthusiast drooling.

Her interior is all varnished wood, which is honestly in pristine condition, with classic maritime white and blue fabrics to contrast.

Her decorations are also of nautical theme with wall art including decorated wooden ores and paintings of classic ships. Even the napkins on the dining table have embroidered anchors on them. The attention to detail is impeccable!

DONNA DEL MARE offers 7 cabins to comfortably accommodate large groups of guests. Her standard capacity is 12 guests, but she can take up to 16 guests, including kids, upon request. Talk to one of our charter brokers if you are looking to bring more than 12 guests.

With a classic atmosphere of high luxury and ample outdoor space, she is the perfect yacht for charters in the Adriatic.

The sun deck features two queen loungers, a Jacuzzi, and enough deck space for a crowd. She also has a beautiful beach deck with swim ladders, a great place for a morning coffee, an evening cocktail, or a simple lounge in the sun right by the water’s edge.

Captain Peter Kisik has proudly been on board since 2016 and knows all the best spots in the Adriatic Sea! It is a great advantage to have a captain who has been with the yacht for so long, as this means he knows both the yacht and the cruising grounds extremely well. CALLISTO is a 164-foot steel motor yacht custom-built in 2000 with a major refit in 2016. She accommodates up to 34 guests in 17 cabins and comes with a crew of 16.

I must say, Callisto’s design truly captures the essence of seafaring grace with her classic lines. Her wooden interior, alongside tasteful grey and blue fabrics, evokes the timeless charm of oceanic voyages.

Stepping into her main lounge on the upper deck, one is transported into what feels like a luxurious floating hotel, complete with lounging areas for all guests and a fully stocked bar manned by a skilled bartender.

The lounge opens onto the sundeck furnished with several sun loungers for relaxing and sunbathing.

Another great area on CALLISTO, is her cozy library for those serene moments lost in a book. Adjacent to this, the al fresco dining setup invites guests to indulge in gourmet meals while surrounded by panoramic views of the endless blue. Sun loungers shaded by umbrellas offer a prime spot for basking in the sun.

CALLISTO also has a swimming platform with swim ladders, which makes accessing the water very easy.

WIND OF FORTUNE is a 170-foot steel motor yacht built by Italian Shipyard CPN Ancona in 1981. It was built in the same year and yard as SOMETHING COOL, which is number 10 on my list, though WIND OF FORTUNE is larger and has more amenities.

She underwent a major refit in 2020. As a standard, she accommodates 12 guests in 17 cabins, but this can be extended to 16 guests, including kids, upon request.

Her interior is drool-worthy! Yea, I am not sure that is a word, but that is truly what she is. She is super elegant, with glossy varnished wood and a timeless nautical theme, a very classic look!

Her deck areas feature a wide range of amenities, including an outdoor bar, Jacuzzi, and plenty of space for sun lounging and relaxing. She also has a sizable gym!

The impressive leisure and entertainment facilities make her the ideal charter yacht for a relaxed luxury yacht experience with family and friends.

WIND OF FORTUNE also offers a wide selection of water toys, including 3 tenders, 2 jet skis,1 x Seabob, 2 x SUP, 2 kayaks, a Wakeboard, Water skis for adults and children, several towables, a chaser banana and fishing, and snorkeling equipment.

Oh, and she has water golf, a beach deck with swim ladders for easy access to the water, and an extra floating platform!

HARMONY V is a 180-foot steel motor yacht built in 2009 at the Greek Shipyard Piraeus in Athens. She underwent a major refit in 2017.

HARMONY V is one of the few charter yachts of her size in Greece that can accommodate as many as 49 guests in 25 cabins: 6 doubles and 40 singles. She is the yacht with the largest guest capacity on this list!

The whole yacht layout is designed to accommodate a large crowd. Her social areas include a spacious lounge with classy seating, an American bar, and the joining dining room, which features large windows providing beautiful views of the Greek Islands.

There is also an external dining area located on the Sun Deck, where meals are served al fresco. The Sun Deck is ideal for basking under the sun, reading a good book, or gazing at the scenery.

The cabins are conveniently spread over the main and upper decks. Each stateroom has a private en-suite bathroom equipped with flat-screen TV sets, DVD players, mini-fridges, hairdryers, individually controlled A/C, and safety deposit boxes. ELYSIUM is a 210-foot steel motor yacht built by the Astilero de Mallorca Shipyard in 1999. She underwent a major refit in 2021 and is in excellent condition.

Just like HARMONY V above, ELYSIUM can accommodate 49 guests across 25 cabins: 1 Single and 24 Double cabins with Queen-sized beds with plush mattresses, snuggly all-season duvets, and a flat-screen TV with movies. All Double cabins can be converted to Twin cabins upon request. All cabins are with en-suite facilities.

ELYSIUM is a small step up in price from HARMONY V, but she is a big step up in terms of onboard amenities. The major difference is that she has an onboard spa, as well as a massage room, gym, and on-deck jacuzzi!

This is the ideal yacht for a large reunion, a company trip, or perhaps even a wedding party wishing to share a luxurious charter vacation in Greece with a bit of extra pampering!

She also comes with a great selection of water toys, including 2 tenders, 6 Sea-Doo Sea scooters, a canoe kayak, a water ski, paddleboards, windsurfing equipment, and snorkeling equipment. The aft deck has a swimming platform, which makes it very easy to access the water and launch water toys.

This option is perfect for large groups looking for a yacht charter offering a mix of relaxation, wellness treatments, and exciting water activities, ensuring everyone finds something enjoyable.

71 Guests – WINNING CAPACITY!!

VARIETY VOYAGER is a 223-foot steel motor yacht built in 2012 at the Greek Psarros Shipyard. She is a clear winner and a rarity when it comes to guest capacity, accommodating 71 guests across 36 cabins. Her crew of 32 provides white-glove service.

Common areas onboard the VARIETY VOYAGER include an outdoor al fresco dining area and a lounge on the upper deck, with outdoor couches, chairs, and coffee tables served by a full bar with fantastic views. This is also where you will find the Horizons Bar & Lounge, which offers shaded seating and is the ideal spot for reading, relaxing, or dancing under the stars, AND, here is a nice bonus: VARIETY VOYAGER has a resident DJ/entertainer.

On the main deck, you will find the main lounge and a mini library/internet bar just off the main lounge, with a variety of books, magazines, and free internet.

The spa and fitness suite, located on the lower deck, offers massage, sauna, and some fitness equipment. VARIETY VOYAGERS’s dedicated spa therapist provides hair, face, and nail treatments.

The Sun Deck features Balinese beds and sun loungers. This is the perfect place to sunbathe while enjoying drinks served from the Sun Deck Horizons bar.

And now to something a little different: LE PONANT is a 276-foot, 3-masted sailing yacht built in 1990. She just underwent a complete rebuild in 2022, so the interior and exterior decks are all new. She accommodates 32 guests in 16 cabins and has a large crew of 34.

The experience of sailing on LE PONANT is wonderful; with minimal running rigging, the crew is able to leave the expansive deck areas free for guests to relax while silently cruising under sail. (The captain and crew make the most of every opportunity to sail rather than motor.)

The cuisine on board is outstanding and a big part of the experience. The Executive Chef is French, and there is a team of five in the galley.

The yacht’s crew also includes a Beautician, a Sports Coach, an Expedition Leader, and a Naturalist, enhancing guest adventures with expert guidance for both adults and children.

For explorations off the beaten path, LE PONANT is equipped with four expedition-style Zodiac tenders, ideal for discovering remote coastlines.

LAUREN L is a 295-foot luxury motor yacht designed by Naval Architect ALPHA MARINE and built by German Shipyard Cassens-Werft in 2002 with a refit in 2017.

LAUREN L sleeps up to 36 guests in 20 cabins, including a master suite, 1 VIP stateroom, 8 double cabins, and 10 double/twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 40 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

I am not sure how I can do the interior justice with words; it is simply a feast for the eyes!

I am going to use the word glamorous to describe her main saloon. The use of rich wood paneling throughout adds a warm, classic, luxurious foundation typical of traditional luxury yacht design.

The furniture is plush-comfy, with lots of sofas and armchairs; it oozes sit down with a whiskey and a good friend. I especially love the upholstery, which is of various colors and patterns but with a dominant satin blue.

Uuh, and all the decorative elements, such as the many beautiful lamps, cushions, and statues with marine motifs, like the fantastic turtle sculpture seen in the picture above, and a beautifully patterned carpet on the floor, it is really amazingly done!

The interiors are well-lit, with integrated lighting in the ceilings and additional lamp lighting to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The reflective ceiling in the first image adds a modern touch, enlarging the space visually and adding an element of glamour. There, I used the word again.

But enough about the styling… LAUREN L amenities include a fully equipped gym, a library/TV room, a kid’s playroom, a fully equipped spa, and a beauty salon with dedicated staff (a steam room, a sauna, an aromatherapy room, and a massage room with LPG equipment).

And here is something extra: LAUREN L also has a large conference room with seats for 17 people around a large wooden table!

This is one of my favorite yachts of all time, and it is not just because she is super famous but because she is iconic, has an incredible history, AND has everything you could dream of for a luxury yacht charter vacation!

CHRISTINA O is a 325-foot steel ship designed by the naval architect Costas Carabelas and built by Canadian Vickers in 1942. She underwent a major refit in 2022, during which she received many new additions, including a new jacuzzi bar and extended spa facilities.

She can accommodate up to 34 guests with her 17 cabins.

But now for the real treat: Perhaps the most written-about yacht in history, the legendary CHRISTINA O has witnessed some of the most iconic events over the last century.

Built in 1943, this vessel first served as the Canadian naval frigate HMCS Stormont during World War II. – She was there for the D-Day landings.

Fast forward to 1954, and enter Aristotle Onassis, a Greek shipping tycoon with a vision. He transformed the robust warship into a luxury yacht, rechristening it after his daughter, Christina.

The yacht’s interiors screamed extravagance, decked out with bar stools covered in whale penis leather—yes, you read that correctly.

Christina O became the floating playground for the elite, hosting icons like Marilyn Monroe, Jackie Kennedy, and Winston Churchill, who you can see in the picture, later had a library dedicated to him. It even played host to the fairytale wedding of Monaco’s Prince Rainier and Grace Kelly.

Today, available for charter, she remains the perfect setting for world-class entertaining, offering a unique opportunity to cruise in style and comfort.

Corporate incentives, wedding anniversaries, special birthdays, or just to cruise and relax with your loved ones.
